Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) once again rejected a deal to fund Biden’s continued border operations coupled with tens of billions in foreign aid on Wednesday.
Johnson had shot down a deal on Saturday, tweeting “absolutely not” after details emerged of a draft deal crafted by Senate negotiators.
“We’re not playing politics at this,” Johnson said at a Wednesday press conference. “We’re demanding real, transformative policy change, because that’s what the American people need and deserve, and that they’re demanding as well.”

Two words: election year
Welp, time for some personally damning articles about Speaker Johnson coming up.
If the House (by virtue of a Speaker’s control) doesn’t do something forceful and substantive about the southern invasion aided by Biden’s Administration, America as a union of states with common goals will cease to exist, period. The way it is now, it’s nothing but a Super Banana Republic.

There is nothing the House can do unilaterally other than reject the bad bills coming out of the Senate.

All bills related to funding are the primary purview of the House, regardless of whether something budget/money wise originates in the Senate or not (in the end a Senate money bill has to get approved in a joint reconciliation meeting).
Deny the money, deny the action. Or at least make the Democrats use money they wanted to pi$$ away on something else.
Anything less than total stoppage of illegal immigration AKA INVASION, is unconstitutional (US Const., Art. IV, Sec. 4).

Huh. Freepers have been hating on Johnson for some time now. This thread and others were filled with vitriol against him. Me? I take a long term approach. I hope he suceeds.

Johnson is just a regular conservative but his solid creds -- smacking down Schumer-Lankford in two words -- make the #MSM have to rip their own masks off, and reveal every. last. one. of. these. dirty. down-low. neomarxist. smugglers. regard Johnson as a "Christofascist".
That's the word these same journolists cannot wait to use freely at their Swamp-azz gay bar that evening after swiping right on Grindr.
The proposal smells like body crevices of the addicted homeless. There is nothing in it to even consider.
