It’s prc ripped off fake versions of real stuff!
After reading all this I’m glad I didn’t run a search for ‘Temu’ on the web.
“Pinduoduo—is also starting to develop a reputation for undelivered packages, mysterious charges, incorrect orders, and unresponsive customer service.”
and exceptionally poor quality, even for chinese crap ...
I wish there were an app to block all Temu ads.
Unfortunately, TEMU informed me that they were out of stock. They also refused to return my money!

Seems good - I have a bank account that I normally put only enough money to do the next upcoming transaction - they have no minimum balance other than $0.01.
It USUALLY protects me.
USUALLY.....
What ever happened to (Spit or) Swallwell?
Scotland and Canada are almost as far along.
In the US, the 2024 election is critical.
My wife ordered some underwear for me off of Temu. Size XL.
Good Lord! They must have meant Boys XL. Way too small.
Either that or a XL Chinese man is 140 lbs.
Speaking of poor quality ...
Actually, I have gotten some pretty good stuff off TEMU. Delivery was slow the first time, but picked up. I do hate the spinning wheel thing. They have a lower receiver for an AR-15 for $14.95. I may check that out in the near future!
“It’s not clear why Amazon doesn’t provide a manufacturer to customer model as well”
amazon does indeed support 3rd party sellers who ship directly to the customer ... amazon handles the ordering, tacking, return and financial aspects of the transaction ... prime shipping isn’t available for 3rd party direct direct ship, and direct ship is invariably MUCH slower than amazon shipping ...
“It’s prc ripped off fake versions of real stuff!”
temu is more like ripped off fake versions of OTHER ripped off fake stuff!
I wonder whether they charge for delivery. I have zero interest in buying from them.
Been an AMZ customer since Bezos was only selling books. Buy so much stuff there, they gave me free Prime. My friend FOTFL when I told him I buy toilet paper there. Best deal n town $14 at Target, $8.88 at AMZ. What’s not to like?.
Yeah I’m on the 30-day Free Trial (for about the 6th or 7th time) - I’ll have to cancel in a few weeks
Just ordered some car parts - not enough but for one car to fix a problem
Now if I can just talk the mechanic in to doing the job for a reasonable price (he’s done a TON of stuff for me absolutely FREE - which is pretty awesome)
Interesting.
I buy a lot from AMZ and they sent me their own Chase Visa card. Can go to local Chase bank and pay it, credit issued within two days.
I buy a few things with Capital One and can pay by phone, which is a nice feature.
Some friends of ours use a Cash app card, which is free. You just load it like you would a gift card. They think it’s completely safe that way, but of course, you have to use your bank acct to load it. Anybody know if it’s legit?
“and exceptionally poor quality, even for Chinese crap ..”
For some odd reason I’ve become fascinated by electro bicycles and the ads for cheap Chinese 160 CC motor scooters and motorcycles. Talking about the internal combustion powered scooters and cycles, I’ve been surprised by the price of about $900 for machines that are allegedly capable of getting up to 65 miles an hour, while Honda charges, including delivery, about $4,400 for its similar motor scooter. The tipoff seems to be that the Chinese bikes are only warranted for about 30 days, while the Honda warranty is one year. Also the customers for the Chinese bikes are normally required to do much of the assembly themselves. It strikes me that one of the Chinese bikes run up to about 65 miles an hour, would be likely to be a suicide machine. If they’re that cheap and there’s that much of the spread between them and the Hondas, I’m afraid I have to stick with the Honda and pay the higher price.
The first temu ads showed me that it had to be another CCP operation. The prices for the stuff on there can only be met with slave labor and by making them as poor quality as possible.
If the balloon goes up with Taiwan China simultaneously launch digital attacks on the people who’ve been buying from Temu and Alibaba as well as attacks on banks. Temu is one way the CCP gets the info to get at your personal accounts
