Gasoline stays quite volatile at low temps. Diesel gets a bit thick but still works okay. Natural gas? What part of “gas” didn’t you understand? And coal... well it’s already froze.

Somehow reminds me of the little known Jimmy Stewart Western The Rare Breed. A calf is brought from England to Texas to grow and then breed to create a better hybrid but Texans resent it and prefer the traditional longhorns.

In a big blizzard the Vindicator (his name) is lost. Jimmy Stewart nearly kills himself riding out into subzero blizzards to save it from the elements; all to naught.

The only reason there are EV’s on the road is due to a massive propaganda campaign, with government coercion through subsidies on the ‘favored’ technology and penalties/taxes on the disfavored technologies (gasoline engines).
