The Mayor and city officials kicked out the low-income disabled adults who paid rent, and moved in some “homeless” while the renovations were taking place.

The hotel used to house 180 paying residents.

The newly named St. Clare has 134 remodeled studio apartments. How fortunate for the ‘vagrants, ‘criminals,’ ‘druggies,’ and ‘junkies’ who have chosen this lifestyle. Each apartment has a bathroom and kitchenette.

The first group of 80 residents will start moving in this week. The final 54 residents are delayed due to supply chain problems, according to the city.

I remember that after the Katrina hurricane many from New Orleans were placed in camper trailers. When they were able to leave, the campers were so damaged they had to be destroyed.
I bet the same will be for these “homes”.

Each apartment comes with a coffee maker and 20 presidential ballots already checked for Biden. If Biden withdraws, Stacey Abrams surrogates will go door-to-door to deliver new pre-filled stacks.

This is the government for you. Not only are the apartments fabulously expensive but you can be assured that the quality is awful. Lots of pockets got lined.

While I don’t like it one bit, this kind of jackasssery is why I see so many California license plates in my state.

It ticks me off, but I can’t really say I blame anyone for trying to escape socialism that’s about to morph into full blown communism.

“I can’t really say I blame anyone for trying to escape socialism that’s about to morph into full blown communism”

That’s not how it works. They are not refugees they are missionaries. Well, a lot but not all are.

I live in a place that does the exact same but in a different way. Once people from the city I live in get tired of their dangerous neighborhoods, bad roads, horrendous schools they pick up and leave.

Then they find a new place, start misbehaving, shooting people, doing drugs, and ruining the schools.

It’s not fair that they ruined the place they lived, they should be able to ruin the place you live too!

The problem is they won’t learn from their mistakes and will eventually bring that crap to you. They are like locust and will destroy everything.

The “homeless” are not homeless, as long as they have a free apartment. But they too will be kicked out to make room for their replacements, currently streaming in through the open lines in the sand, formerly known as borders.

Born in Austin, grew up in Dallas in the 50s-90s, California was the place to go and I did, came back just before COVID in 2020. Don’t miss it too much but days like today with a high of 35 and temps in the teens next week, I daydream of San Diego.

I looked up Saint Clare to see if she was the patron saint for anything. This is what I found on Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clare_of_Assisi

Pope Pius XII designated Clare as the patron saint of television in 1958 on the basis that when she was too ill to attend Mass, she had reportedly been able to see and hear it on the wall of her room

Clare was a contemporary of Saint Francis of Assisi, so she came and went a few years before TV was a thing.

We looked at buying a FEMA trailer. There were thousands to choose from and they were so trashed, we passed on buying one. How could people live like that?

Exactly! The writing is on the wall- cal and ny are really pushing hard for communism. Years ago people even suspected of communism were blacklisted and shunned by society- now it’s embraced by the left
