The original number of jobs reported by the federal government in 2023 was revised down by a total of 749,000 jobs, meaning nearly one-fourth of jobs thought to be created in the year were not actually there, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) analyzed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The sum of the initial estimate from each of the government’s monthly job growth reports in 2023 totaled 3,140,000 new jobs, with later reports revising down the number of jobs added by a collective 443,000, according to the BLS. The BLS also announced in August a revision in total employment for March, subtracting another 306,000 jobs.

“If not an economic downturn, there must be something else causing the errors to almost all go in the same direction, and by considerable magnitude,” Antoni told the DCNF. “These patterns in the data clearly indicate that something is not quite right with the number crunching at BLS last year.”
Gee, you think?

You know maybe we should file our taxes like that and keep adding income until the IRS pauses….. then we’re golden!

The CPI calculations that are produced each month by BLS are a meaningless number generator. The various globalists who have been in control (Presidents, Deep State, Congress) since the mid 1980s have tortured the methodology such that it hardly bears a shadow of a resemblance to the mission: to calculate a constant representative basket of goods for the purpose of tracking price changes. It does not do that anymore.

You’d think they’d learn from the Chinese. When their numbers start looking bad, they simply stop collecting it.

I’m sure that their formula can be “jimmied” to say whatever they want.
Didn’t the “basket of goods” for prices get revised recently to mitigate a sharp uptick in inflation? It seems that these metrics don’t ever stay the same, conveniently.

The CPI should be based on the things that people regularly buy. So what if the price of big screen TVs drops 30%. It’s not like people buy a new TV every year. No. The things we regularly need are food, shelter, transportation, and energy. All of those things seem to be 20% or more expensive in just the last few years.

Most are in denial that government printing money causes inflation.
If republican president in office, democrats would be running adds with those on fixed incomes eating dog food.
Many will be forced out of their homes this year as they can’t afford another 30% increase due to inflation of cost to repair or replace homes.

Walking into almost any retail store these days and you'll see
1. A lack of product, poorly stocked shelves
2. Thin staffing, very thin in some stores
3. Unhappy staff, the ones that have jobs aren't real keen on working.
This country is in real trouble and Pedo Joe and the Gang That Can't Tell the Truth is only making it worse.
I'd like to believe these troubling economic conditions can be easily reversed but I have grave doubts.
I fear that if a new administration cuts spending on social programs and benefits that'll just be the starting gun on mass social unrest. IMHO
