The Month of January

January was named for the Roman god Janus,
known as the protector of gates and doorways,
who symbolize beginnings and endings.
Janus is depicted with two faces,
one looking into the past,
the other with the ability to see into the future.
What a fitting symbol for this first day of the year;
this month is our door into the new year.

Birthday wishes for all of the January babies.

It’s been a quiet week so far, and too nippy for my tastes. But then I’m a wuss when it comes to cold weather. LOL
Not too much in the way of wind but next week will be a different story. From what they’re saying, I’ll need to wear an anchor around my neck so I won’t get blown away when I go outside. Gonna be a rough three days here.

Are you expecting any nasty weather out of the system coming through this weekend?

Hi Beachie, this week is no different than the last but I have noticed that the days are becoming longer.

Word is we will have mainly rain.
Some areas to the west may get a mix.
