The Associated Press, in an article on Wednesday, not only claimed conservatives were responsible for Harvard President Claudine Gay’s resignation after she was found to have plagiarized her academic work almost 50 times, but it also claimed that “white colonists” practiced scalping on Native Americans — a claim it stealth-edited later.
The article, when it first published, said that conservative activist Christopher Rufo, who had looked into Gay’s plagiarism, celebrated Gay’s resignation by posting on X, “SCALPED” — a term often colloquially used by journalists when their reporting leads to someone’s resignation or firing.

BiXiden is scalping America....
What they don’t tell you is that they LEARNED THAT from the ‘Native Americans.’
Are they saying blacks have to plagiarize to be "successful"?
The French introduced it as a way of having their native
allies prove how many enemies they had killed.
actually after having learned of it by being the victims of indians doing it to us, we did start doing it to them!
There is a lot of information out there about scalping.
One of the reasons I’ve seen shown is that they (NAs) considered a brave’s hair to be the source of their prowess and by taking the scalp by another NA from a different tribe gave that ‘prowess’ to him.
Not peaceful ‘nomads’ in touch and in tune with Mother Earth, IMO and I certainly don’t believe the practice was introduced by white Europeans.
This nonsense again? Scalping in the Americas goes way WAY BACK before the White Man arrived.
How the tribes treated each other BEFORE The White Man arrived...

Ritualistic cannibalism was common in Neolithic cultures!
you can find similar evidence\artifacts in Neolithic European sites. I am sure in Asia & Africa too, though those I am not as familiar with.
“””””The French introduced it as a way of having their native
allies prove how many enemies they had killed”””””
Nonsense, scalping was a normal indian habit long before any French got here with the skull evidence of scalping going back to prehistoric times, they also had many different words to describe it.
It seems that way - that's really insulting to black citizens...
Indians were shocking the world with cannibalism as late as the Texas Ranger old West days when the settlers were disgusted to learn what their indian allies were cooking in the pots they borrowed.
“...but it also claimed that “white colonists” practiced scalping on Native Americans...”
Sure...after they learned how from the indians.
A Neolithic has to do his Neolithic thing!
Wow! You know the more I hear “progressives” say lowering the bar for minorities is necessary for them to succeed, the angrier I get. I believe there are some that use this line of thinking to line their pockets.
Liberal ‘educators’ have been peddling the concept that European settlers who came to the New World were terrible people, who came to rape, pillage and steal land from the indigenous inhabitants.
The part of the history that always gets lost is the fact that the settlers were victims of a European oligarchy that provided no opportunity at all for anyone but themselves. People who are doing well in their own country don’t generally pack up their stuff and move thousands of miles away, through an incredibly dangerous ocean voyage, and settle in a land where they and their families could be murdered at any moment by wild Indians.
The European aristocracy gave poor folks, which made up 90% of every country, no chance whatsoever at a decent life. Poor people were hanged for taking a fish or a rabbit from someone’s land to feed their starving families. So yes, this country represented an escape hatch for the millions of people who had nothing to lose and everything to gain by emigrating.
It took 2,000 years for Europeans to find a way out of grinding poverty, and now we’re going to let these ignorant, arrogant idiots in academia tell us what terrible people our ancestors were?
American universities are filled with dangerous morons who understand nothing about their own history, and now run around feigning outrage and indignation when somebody uses a word they disapprove of?
Go screw, all of you phony intellectuals, and educate yourselves on what really happened, and stop crying crocodile tears over liberal nonsense.
Well, there is no doubt that some white settlers or troops lifted some Indian scalps. You probably would have, as well; especially if you had you found your family butchered.
Taking scalps back in those days was not the big taboo it is today in the more “civilized” 21st century.
“The French introduced it as a way of having their native
allies prove how many enemies they had killed.”
Indians scalped each other long before white men ever showed up on the continent.
