Car filled with explosives barrels into crowd leaving Rochester rock concert, killing two in possible domestic terrorism: police

A couple was killed and numerous others injured just hours into the New Year when a car filled with explosives barreled into a crowd of people leaving a rock concert in upstate New York, police said.

The fiery crash occurred at 12:50 a.m. outside the Kodak Center in Rochester, where roughly 1,000 people were filing out after a New Year’s Eve moe. show.

Rochester officers were helping pedestrians cross the street when a Ford Expedition sped toward the mob, but smashed instead into an Uber that was pulling out of a nearby parking lot, law enforcement sources said.

“The force of the collision caused the two vehicles to go through a group of pedestrians that were in the crosswalk and then into two other vehicles,” police Chief David Smith said at a press conference.

The cars exploded into an intense blaze that took the fire department nearly one hour to extinguish.

A couple riding inside the Uber were killed, while their driver was rushed to the hospital in non-life threatening condition, sources and police said.

Three pedestrians were struck by the flying cars — one of whom was left clinging to life.

The driver who tried to mow down the crowd was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He died of his injuries around 8 p.m. Monday and was identified as Michael Avery, law enforcement sources told The Post.

After the fire was extinguished, investigators found at least a dozen gasoline canisters scattered across the pavement and inside the Expedition, according to Smith.

The incident is being investigated as possible domestic terrorism.

It makes Molotov Cocktails.

It can be explosive in a contained space with air dispersed mixture.

The New York Post reports the Expedition driver died Monday at 8 p.m. and was identified as Michael Avery of Syracuse, according to law enforcement sources.

Avery allegedly rented a hotel room in Rochester, where police conducted a search and found a suicide note and journal, according to the Post; authorities are planning to also search a storage unit belonging to Avery in North Syracuse. Sources said his family members believed he had bipolar depression, though he was never officially diagnosed.

Used to live not far from there, would jog by what used to be Kodak Park.

We need to see the suicide note. We’re big kids and do not need government to ‘protect us’ from the facts or in any way manipulate the truth.

He’s dead so they don’t have to worry about him suing them for not using “alleged” every other word.

” his family members believed he had bipolar depression, though he was never officially diagnosed.”

Well, there you have it. They’re not responsible for his upbringing or values. He was raised by a village and is the victim. It’s society’s fault in their minds. Which is likely why he went after the public.

Lots of nuts nowadays. It’s always someone else’s fault. That’s how they were raised. All their benefits are theirs, all their failures are society’s.

Look for more of this kookery as long as the recession lasts.

Oct 2022

Michael cut my hair, correcting what someone else did in another shop. He rescued my hair and my sense of self. I mean, your hair and face are what you present to the world, so a good haircut is a lovely introduction as you walk into any room. I am so impressed. The cut is gorgeous, and total perfection. I am relieved and happy. What is more, the shop is light and comfortable. Two curly haired poodle greeters welcomed me.Service: Hairstyling

So, I saw Michelle today for the first time. Scary, right? She was amazing. My hair hadn't been cut for 7 months and I normally have it on the shorter side. She listened to me explain what my style usually is and then proceeded to cut it like she'd cut my hair for years. I'm so happy with it. She's fantastic and the salon was also!Service: Hairstyling

They started attacking school board meetings. Now they have moved on to rock concerts. When will these domestic terrorists stop.

“ Gasoline isn’t an explosive.”

Not in liquid form. The vapors, however, are very explosive.

We are into the second generation of some groups raised to firmly believe “it’s somebody else’s fault”. This does not bode well for society as a whole.

So, keeping a tightly-capped jug of gasoline in one’s trunk in case you mistakenly run out of gas...this is menacing?

I doubt it.

The reviews I found, were local. Not sure it is what it looks like to me.

But now the police are saying no suicide note, not terrorism.

Guess we will find out soon.

>Gasoline isn’t an explosive.

Neither is flour but when mixed with air at a ratio of 14.7:1, big booms are possible.

But yeah, I get your point.

I suspect we will not here anything about this again. Rock concert... No biggie. White people go to rock concerts. No guns used. We’ll know his melanin content soon enough by endless “WHITE SUPREMACY” and how fast, if ever, they release the note. If we don’t hear that from the media, well, “the more you know.”
