The number of homeless Americans rose by 12 percent to a record level in 2023 as President Joe Biden invited several million legal and illegal migrants into homes and jobs.

“More than 650,000 people were experiencing homelessness on a single night in January 2023, a 12% increase from 2022,” a Friday report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) said.

The data is 11 months old, suggesting that the current homeless number is far higher.

Rush Limbaugh once pointed out that while dems were president the media never had a word to say about the homeless. But about a month after a republican took office it became front page news as a new national crisis. This going all the way back to Reagan. So here we are again, terrible numbers and the media hiding it because ... democrat.

I remember the Reagan-Bush years when every Thanksgiving-Christmas season rolled around. All of the sudden the mainstream media was filled with stories about the homeless problem. It was intense and relentless. News segments, hour long specials, interviews with homeless activists and organizations, etc. Hollywood also got into the act. Almost every 1980s tv drama and sitcom has one or more episodes centered around the homeless.

Then, election of 1992 came around. Clinton won. And that very next Thanksgiving-Christmas season of 1992, not a single mention of the homeless. No more news reports, hour long specials, interviews with homeless people and advocates. No more sitcom episodes with plots regarding homeless people. And it remained that way for the next 8 years of the Clinton administration.

It was as if the homeless people all disappeared. They didn’t exist under a Democrat administration.

Also reminds me of sam donaldson and abc always talking about the pending economic collapse in 84. What a bunch of losers.
