For border state residents, of course, the long, national nightmare has been ongoing since before Biden took office. More recently, Democratic-run cities like New York and Chicago have felt the pain.
Now, upscale homes in what used to be considered safe neighborhoods are getting a taste, too. And one dangerous piece of technology is playing a role.

We have a “land-line,” unfortunately it is through fiber now. If I had known the outcome when the updated the internet, I would have insisted on keeping the old fashioned connection.
We can no longer call if the electricity is out, which is why we kept the land line in the first place.
I still have one. 99% of my junk calls go there. Nice not having them go to my cell.

Cell towers require power. They could cut the power, so yes.
Other things that could happen:
Inclement weather could bring down cell towers or interrupt power to them. Some have gas generators for such a scenario, many do not.
Marxist government could simply turn the towers off.
Ditto for Wi-Fi, btw. In fact, disabling the Internet would be even easier. Just a few clicks of a mouse and all network accounts are disabled.
Step #2 for a rising dictatorship is to disrupt the people’s ability to communicate. Typically following Step #1, confiscating the people’s weapons.
We have one of those ancient dial phones hanging on the wall in our garage.
It has been amazing over the years since it continued to work even when the power was out...because the electric wires are at the top of the telephone poles and trees would take them out but the phone lines remained intact.
I have actually seen downed telephone poles where the phone line remained connected and working.

Phone companies make it difficult to have a landline.
Our major internet/phone/provider doesn’t install nor repair land lines. They pull the data/power down with a unit that sits on a desk and provides wifi to the rest of the house.
Installation is a real B$tch re getting on line and using their new star wars system.
This has resulted in delays in getting even back on with the new fiber systems.
If you have an old land line system, do your research before it dies or starts to die.
Hopefully, we will have some good threads addressing this issue facing most of us and our options.

All this nonsense about racking a round into the chamber is BS. Never disclose your location nor your intent. You should have a round already in the chamber then make sure the magazine is full.
