Madison, would you please start a new thread/post on the issue of no landlines re the implications and problems with just fiber.
Please ping me, as the learning curve is very steep and expensive.

We have one of those ancient dial phones hanging on the wall in our garage.
It has been amazing over the years since it continued to work even when the power was out...because the electric wires are at the top of the telephone poles and trees would take them out but the phone lines remained intact.
I have actually seen downed telephone poles where the phone line remained connected and working.
I will try.
