Kitties are so silly. But ya just gotta love ‘em anyway, huh.
My fingers are tightly crossed for you to get that rain. You need it even worse than we do. And that’s saying a lot! :)
Lonnie Donegan...Rock My Soul. Lots of great tunes, Songcraft. Thanks!
Good night, Songcraft, and rest well. Nice tune to wind down, and a new song to me. Very nice!
I’ll be there!! January 1st...Bowl Day.
I forgot about all the Bowls on New Years.
I guess not! 😂
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...is your new “heat” doing its job?
Gizmo enjoyed his adventures at Comanche Lake.
You guys have a great Saturday.
What a cool song...Lavern can sing! Thanks, Fiji...((HUGS))
My goodness...I didn’t even recognize Neil. But a great song that I’ve listened to twice. Thanks!
They’re silly but they can sure push one’s buttons at times - - like tonight. These guys are hellions. They feel these strong fronts as they get closer and react by going bonkers.
They finally ran out of steam and are conked out. Whew!
I’m getting a little light ran now but the heavier rain looks like it’ll pass by to the west. Too much northward movement and not enough eastward. *sigh*
Might get TWO drops in the rain gauge out of this. LOL
Vera Lynn...so, so talented!
Peaches and Ginger don’t seem to react to anything. LOL! The outside cats probably do, but they just hide when something gets them upset. Their mama taught them well. I do know that they weren’t happy in the wind today.
2 drops. That’s tough to take. Sorry the wind changed when it did and blew the good stuff away.
I’m going to go ahead and head out. I’m pretty sleepy tonight. I made the mistake of bringing up the Gaza stream before turning off the computer last night....and you know how that goes. LOL! See ya tomorrow!
A few of these cats don’t react to much but most do. It’s a “nature” thing, feeling what’s going on around them.
There’ll be more than two drops in the gauge after all. Been getting a decent rainfall the past several minutes. I’ve even seen a couple of flashes of lightning through the window.
The wind didn’t shift direction. he system is moving eastward but the rain moves south to north. The mountains slowed down the eastward movement of the line of rain so the good stuff wasn’t getting over this far. Now it’s finally making a little eastward headway.
This light rain is a good thing because it’ll soften the ground. When the heavier rain comes through tomorrow night, it’ll be easier for it to soak in. Really heavy rain tonight would have run across the ground like it was pavement. It’s rock-hard.
I’m well aware of how that stream can keep you up later than you need to be. LOL My sleep has been short many a day, especially the last couple. Things seem to have slowed down a little this morning but they were rockin’ it earlier. Now’s a good time to get the cat stuff done and go to bed before things crank up again. LOL
Catch ya tomorrow.
It's 87 degrees in the room so the heat is working so far.
87 degrees in the room????? Man, reading that made me break out in a sweat! LOL
You’d be miserable in my house since I keep the thermostat at 71. A little on the cool side but that’s what sweat pants and flannel shirts are for. :-)
It does sound like your heat’s working well. Glad they got you squared away.
It’s so nice so far today. It’s sunny and 51, it’s just not going to last, so we enjoy it while it’s here.
Lots of tornado warnings and actual tornadoes in TN today. I hope they are NOT near your area! Take care...and great that you got more rain. Enough to measure this time?
I forgot to set the alarm when I went to bed this morning and overslept. Just woke up about a half hour ago. LOL
Turned on the TV and it was still on Channel 5 and they were showing a honkin’ big tornado up round Clarksville. That’s Ft. Campbell territory. Don’t know how long it had been down but it ‘s still showing on radar, in KY now. It’s far from here but there’s a tornado-warned storm in MS, just south of Memphis. Rain and a few small storms in between.
The sun is out here and that’s not all that good. Stirs up the atmosphere - - primes the pump. It’s 70 degrees and humid now. No telling what will happen when the line of storms gets over to our end of the state. We have a few hours yet.
There was .7 of an inch in the gauge when I went to bed and there was another batch of rain that looked like if might come here. I haven’t gone out to check the gauge again.
I was thrilled to see how much I got last night. More than expected.
My eyes are on this mess until it’s outta here tonight.
I’ve seen a lot of videos and posts on X from Jeff Piotrowski and Reed Timmer today concerning these storms. Sooo glad however that you got a good amount of rain last night and during the night. WOOHOO!
