Watch: Giant menorah erected in center of Gaza

In a special night-time operation, a giant menorah was brought into central Gaza by Chabad vehicles in cooperation with the IDF. The menorah, which is 14 meters (46 feet) tall, will be lit on the battlefield. "The candles will light up the light of heroism and the hearts of the soldiers, along with dozens of giant menorahs that were placed in the various neighborhoods in Gaza," a Chabad representative stated.

everyone does realize that this whole "war" was constructed with the intent for the elites to take over Gaza and build a new canal don't they?
all the atrocities were allowed and the carpet bombing of Gaza as well.

At the Hesder Yashiva in Sderot they built one out of parts of rockets that were fired from Gaza. Also a tree of peace. It’s a touching commentary.

Technically it’s a Hanukkiah. A menorah has 7 candles, a Hanukkiah has 9. The Hanukkiah is used on Hanukkah to celebrate the 8 nights, with an additional candle lit each night. On both, the center candle is used to light the other candles.
