Israel is considering flooding Hamas’ vast network of tunnels beneath the Gaza Strip with seawater pumped in from the Mediterranean Sea.
The operation is intended to drive out fighters hiding inside the terror group’s subterranean passageways, according to a report citing U.S. government officials.
In November, Israel constructed five seawater pumps near the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza. The machines are capable of moving thousands of cubic meters of water per hour and could flood the tunnels within weeks, reported The Wall Street Journal.
The reaction from the White House was mixed, with some officials fearing the impact on any hostages stored in Gaza. Others said they continue to back the Netanyahu government’s efforts to destroy the tunnel system.
Israel says Hamas uses the tunnel system to store weapons, hide its leaders and shuttle terrorists among the battlefield.
On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces said that since their ground offensive, they’ve discovered more than 800 tunnel shafts in the Gaza Strip. The military is destroying them by setting off explosives or sealing openings.

Sounds like a job for “sleep gas” but the tunnels are too big for that. They could flood them slowly so there’s plenty of time to evac.
Or, pump propane into them like “The Rodenator” and blow em up good.
Nothing is too good for those who dwell in those tunnels.
Fill tunnels with acetylene and strike a match.
Ha! They must be reading the FreeRepublic!
Just be careful where the filthy runoff goes
But fast enough they can’t take their weapons and whatnot with them
Skunks, lots of skunks....................
Uh....
How about sealing every known entrance/exit and flooding the tunnels as quickly as possible.
Fly drones and look for water seeping out of unknown exit and entry points and destroy those as well.
They are probably going to do this because they believe that the hostages are NOT in the tunnels..many of the hostages said they were kept in homes and when they heard IDF coming Hamas would move them somewhere else..so I say flood these tunnels its a good idea flood the hell out of these hamas rodents
Pump in liquid oxygen on one shaft then liquid hydrogen on an adjacent one. Then a wire with a spark plug at the end of it.
Great idea. Should have started a month ago.
The IDF is way ahead of you bro.
They already have a purple smoke they pump into the tunnels.
Then they stand back and look for the houses where the purple smoke is leaking out of. Meaning that there is a tunnel entrance in that house.
I saw this on YouTube a couple weeks ago. :)
I doubt there are any hostages still alive. Hamas never met the number required to be released at any time. They had none left to prolong the cease fire. There are probably not enough Hamas militants left to guard any hostages since their only function in life is to kill Jews.
Hostages require food, water and medicine. There is not enough to feed the war machine and “waste” it on hostages.
The average IQ of a Gazan is 85. I’d wager that a Hamas soldier is even further left on the bell curve than that. They ain’t geniuses. They are closer to animals and operate on that level.
EC
Gaza/Hamas pigs aren't releasing hostages because they know the hostages would talk... if they hadn't already their vocal cords
And a 'two state solution'?
That second 'state' needs to be carved out of - and bought - from Arab neighbors or Iran or a combination of Arab countries. Human filth like the 'Palestinians' - the human welfare state losers of all time... will always hate Israel because Israel is a first world country filled with free men and women who are allowed to be successful.. Where as Palestinians make democrat hellhole cities look civilized. Separate them so the jealousy of the losers doesn't rot out their souls. And separate them so civilized people can live in peace...
Fart Spray, lots & lots of FART SPRAY!!!
Egypt has flooded Hamas tunnels in the past ... Israel should just do it.
Just throw in skunks and close the hole. /s
Flood the tunnels and throw some bacon and ham in the water for good measure.
No, they are just coping the Egyptians.
In 2012 after the Arab Spring the Egyptians were having issues with terrorists from Hamas coming into their country FROM GAZA and causing problems. So, over the course of a year they discovered approximately 32 tunnels running from Egypt into Gaza. So, they pumped sea water into them and flooded them all out.
Again, this is one of the main reasons WHY the Egyptians do not want to take any Palestinian refugees either. They already had plenty of problems with them(Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood) in the past. So the Palis are NO MAS to the Egyptians.
