Economists continue to ignore that our population (and consumer demand) is growing about 1 million people per quarter because of Open Borders.

Most of those illegal immigrants receive ATM cash cards upon arrival, free rent or rent subsidies, Food Stamps, Medicaid, public education, and work permits. All of that government spending has to be borrowed!

Also, MSM news reports highlight the declining inflation rate, as if prices are declining.

My monthly food and rent costs continue to INCREASE - just at a slower pace.

Back in the days of incandescent lamps, a light would get brighter right before the filament burned out. Nuff said.

Everything you wrote is spot on. That said, why aren't the Republicans refuting this bs and setting the record straight?

Government economics is a joke, but conservatives should be explaining all of this to the public - in a straightforward manner with illustrations and examples.

The rate of inflation was 1.4% in 2020. In 2021, after Biden took over, it was 7%. In 2022 it was 6.5%, and in 2023 it is 3.2% - still over twice what it was in Trump's last year in office.

If people spent $100.00 on groceries in December 2020, they paid $107.00 for the same groceries in December 2021, and then $114.00 for the same groceries in December of 2022. Despite the inflation rate decreasing to 3.2% in 2023, by the end of 2023 those same groceries cost $117.65.

The modern economic engine is bigger than just the government. After all, government leaders come and go.

The Great Depression lasted (and lasted) so long because we as humans were not in a period of rapid technological development. We were just in a giant slump.

That's not the case today.

We are in a period of rapid development. And the economy reflects that.

As an aside, Joe and team know nothing of this. Their decisions have made life difficult for many people...but the underlying economic engine is still growing (though not as fast as it would under a free-market capitalist like Trump).

Read this article from CBSnews yesterday, where they said Americans need $11,400 more per year to pay for basics, due to Bidenomics. They also said inflation has been 17% since 2021:

People have lots of money. I deliver their packages. Yesterday was a weight bench, 2 instapots, 2 bedframes, a vacuum, Huand a mattress plus hundreds of other items in Amazon packages. Those are just the ones I could remember.
I have a customer that is furnishing her whole house though Amazon.
I see free stuff alongside the road. Some of it nice enough to resell but people don’t want the hassle to make $500 bucks. There’s lots of money out there. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Orwellian. CBS and the other media think inflated prices means growth in actual production. In terms of real goods and real wages for most, the "few" atop the heap are telling the nation everything is fine because they are. But....

Ya they also neglect to mention the war machine, which is always good for biz and the crushing credit card debt people are piling up to get their cool stuff. The economy is swell , just peachy.

I don’t believe one F’n thing the government says. They lie about everything and anyone who believes what they say should never be trusted.

It’s gotten significantly worse over the last decade.

Saw a "report" that said holiday season spending is up, so the economy "must" be good.

Here's where the media lie to us: spending IS up, but we're all spending more just to get the same stuff!!

Meanwhile this article was posted just hours before on FR:

“The U.S. economy is doing even better than the government thought”

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/the-u-s-economy-is-doing-even-better-than-the-government-thought/ar-AA1kJopj?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=c77521e93ac24304b9aacd3049eaa3a7&ei=27

I’ve always suspected even economists don’t know fully what they are doing , which is why it’s best to let the economy alone.
