House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) floated a proposal Monday that would include aid to Ukraine and border security reform, while Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) hopes to have a vote on a bill tying Ukraine and the border to aid for Israel as soon as next week.
Negotiations around foreign aid continue to unfold on Capitol Hill as bipartisan support for Israel is abundant, but support for a Ukraine package is thin among conservative Republicans. However, Johnson, who oversaw the advancement of a standalone Israel aid bill with cuts to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in early November, indicated to reporters he was open to negotiations around a Ukraine bill that would also address problems at the southern border.

Speaker Johnson isn’t asking hardly anything out of Schumer. There’s no wall to be built - nothing physical.
I figured the new Speaker would fold. The border reform is a BS to get people to shut up.
Every dime of any “border reform”will be used to process illegals and send them throughout the country. It will not be used to stop a single invader.
It's a good bill for the good of the county. It's on line with provisions for more Border personnel and yes....the continuing the building of the wall.
Biden's paln is to give the money to the states...like NY and Illinois...to house and feed these illegals.....no stopping anyone from coming in.
Biden figures Israel is No. 1...and ties it to their absurd border policy. And yes...Biden also wants a path to citizenship.
Most of the aid will go to Ukraine. Israel will get far less than freaking Ukraine.
The border part is a joke.
What happened to taking border money from the IRS?
1. Fund the entire border wall, 2. Rescind IRS funding, 3. Aid Israel, 4. Ban further funds to Iran and Palestine, then 5. Discuss Ukraine funding TIED to ceasefire

Ceasefire isn’t good enough. Tell him that he must negotiate successfully an end because the money is at an end from the US.

Well, I hope you are right but I am no where near convinced.
Ukraine doesn’t need money, they need troops. The House should put forth legislation conscripting the blood relatives between the ages of 17-35 of EVERY FEDERAL EMPLOYEE, give them 2 weeks training and send them straight to the front lines in Ukraine. The war will ends in hours

Jewish vote is mostly irrelevant. Jewish money accounts for up to half of Democrats’ money and strong Jewish presence in the MSM is worth hundreds of millions in in unreported campaign contributions. That money and influence comes from Leftist Jews who really don’t like the State of Israel at all, and especially hate the base of Israel’s Right, made up mostly of Sefardi - Mizrachi Jews.
