TULSA, Okla. — A 15-year-old boy is charged with first-degree murder after a shootout led to the deaths of a 16-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man. The shooting also left three others injured.
Tulsa police said the shooting happened at a home near north Harvard and Apache at around 2 a.m. on Nov. 19. The shooting began during a family gathering when an argument broke out between three young men who were invited to the home and family members of the home.
Court documents identified the three teens as Tyrell Junior, Michael Thomas, and another boy named "Marco."
The three allegedly had guns at the home and were asked to leave because of that. They refused to leave, according to court documents.
Adam Ballance, a 40-year-old resident of the home, told the boys, "You aren't the only one with guns here," and retrieved his AR15.
The argument moved to the front yard, where Tyrell Junior, 16, pointed his gun at Ballance. Ballance then shot at Junior. Junior and Michael Thomas, 15, allegedly returned gunfire.
Ballance was shot in the head, chest, and elbow and died from his injuries. Junior was also hit multiple times and died from his injuries.
After Ballance fell, one of his sons picked up his AR and shot at Thomas.
Thomas allegedly ran from the scene but realized he left his cell phone. He returned and he and Ballance's son shot at each other again, according to court documents.
Thomas was shot in the arm and Ballance's son was shot in the leg. Thomas ran again but officers found him not far from the home.
An 18-year-old inside the house during the gunfire was also struck and at last check is in critical condition.
Thomas is charged with first-degree murder, shooting with intent to kill, discharging a weapon into a dwelling, and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
AR15 type rifle said to have been used defensively.
So much this story doesn’t say...
The article is a bit confusing but it almost seems as if the three feral utes weren’t invited over to turkey leftovers.
“Teens.” Well OK then.
The gunfight happened about 2 a.m., or about two hours after midnight, Sunday morning, November 19.
Tulsa is the only place I ever witnessed a shootout (1999)
At least 3 shooters
Two of them were white
I didn’t see the third guy (or if there were any more)
But I know that there were at least 3 involved
40-year-old Adam Ballance's brother, Deandre Downing, told FOX23 Ballance was hosting a get together, which he said is fairly common.
You might be “Amish” if …
1. You and your brother don’t have the same last name.
2. Anyone closer than your 16th cousin is named Deandre.
but New York democrats are desperately trying to talk mom and pop into taking in illegal “migrants”(read “illegal invaders”) into their homes IF there is any type of extra room available to house them, COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that these people come from a country of not only corrupt and violent cartels but also corrupt and violent POLITICIANS! What, exactly do YOU think will happen when YOUR elected officials realize there is a spate of a neighbors dogs digging up the remains of the New York homeowners who did what their elected officials asked them to do...”take in illegals”...IN THEIR OWN BACKYARDS! we don’t have a “illegal squatters “ squatters” problem. we have a “corrupt politicians” problem. “”elections have consequences and then everyone suffers the consequences” applies here. enjoy your illegals.
Just use your imagination. It’s most likley true.
Another black on black family violence.
Like be selective about who you invite to dinner?
And if you have to break out the AR- shoot first and preferably for your legal grounds…inside the house.
I have a friend who went to Spartan School of Aeronautics in the early 1980s. From him I gathered that Tulsa was a pretty nice place, at least then. Maybe no more?
We need minority youth gun control!
3. You, as a 40 year-old, routinely host 2 AM “get-togethers” with 15 and 16 year-olds.
The FOX affiliate’s story left something out.
A “family gathering” at 2 in the morning?
Okaaaay...
My niece is a big, tall redhead Amazon and is a police officer in Tulsa. She says it’s the Wild, Wild West.
The fault here lies with white colonialist zionist capitalism and the gun companies that profit from the sort of racism and anti-LGBTQ bigotry these fine youths and their middle-aged host were trying to escape by hosting a small-armed man-boy af-am down-low romantic family get-together in the wee small hours of the morning.
amish area of tulsa?
