US has wrecked chances of peace in Middle East, Putin tells Brics summit {Pro Palestinian Putin}
The Guardian ^ | 21st November 2023 | Patrick Wintour

US unilateralism has wrecked the chances of peace in the Middle East, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, told a crisis Brics meeting on Gaza as he attempted to woo leaders of the global south.

The virtual meeting of 11 nations, convened by South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, came as Arab foreign ministers toured capitals to drum up support for a fresh UN security council resolution mandating Israel to introduce a full ceasefire and end what they say are breaches of international humanitarian law.

...Putin told the Brics meeting that the US was undermining the chances of peace by trying to monopolise diplomacy in its own self-interest. He said that “the deaths of thousands of people, the mass displacement of civilians and the humanitarian catastrophe that has unfolded are deeply disturbing”.

He added: “Due to the sabotage of UN efforts, more than one generation of Palestinians are being brought up with a sense of unfairness to their state while the Israeli people cannot fully guarantee their own security.”

“History has vividly demonstrated that attempts to single-handedly cut the Palestinian knot are not viable and counterproductive.”

FJB has alienated our allies and driven our enemies together.

I’m no Putin fan, so all you crazy people just relax— but he is right about one thing — Biden has totally botched midEast diplomacy, as Robert Gates and Barack Obama would each have predicted. Winkin’ Blinken and Jake the Snake have polished off whatever was left of US credibility.

May as well accept it btw — BRICS is a thing, and it doesn’t seem to be going away. Better get used to it.

Putin agrees with the Theocracy in Tehran. And he supports Hamas.

Putin is merely going back to roots, namely Soviet and KGB roots, and speaking predictably because international socialism (still some life left in old beast) backs Syria, Palestine, and any other losers who like the sound of Karl marx theories.

Not to say Biden and company didn’t mess up, it is automatic, but to say America ended peace in the middle east is like saying Taylor Swift ended KC’s ability to win a football game — a correlation is not causation. Any randomly selected resident of our planet could be named as the cause of war in middle east, but in fact I would look more locally, war is inevitable given dynamics of situation. We can make reasonable suggestions and bring people to a table (think of 1990s) but unless social change occurs as it did in Ireland, the war spiral continues endlessly, it’s in their nature to fight.

U.S. policy is actually too neutral rather than what Putin suggests — there should be no daylight between U.S. and Israel on this — a red line was crossed on October 7th and if Putin thinks western globalism is evil, then by what twisted logic can you not say that was a greater evil?

Anyway, Putin is in no position to be giving lectures on political morality.

Brutal dictators and terrorists throughout history attack what may be very real moral or strategic failings of their enemies to try to make themselves seem like their own cause is just. It isn’t. But can be an effective propaganda strategy...just look at some of the responses on this very forum. It’s how the Soviets gained footholds and followers within the United States back in their day. Same strategy and MO being used now.

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

This is Pedo Joe’s M.O.: Make everyone think he a good guy and got the right thinking. Then he does a 180 and stabs you in the back or sticks his tongue in your daughter’s ear.

Putin will be real happy when the Israelis start shipping advanced weaponry to Ukraine.

Putin’s population is shrinking, so what could be better than to import 2 million Palaswineans? Be a hero Vlad!

Must’ve been his body double, because he died of cardiac arrest, cancer and dementia or some other condition. He’s in a freezer somewhere. I read it on FreeRepublic’s DoD operations postings, it has to be true.

Good point. Israel wanted to stay out of the war in Ukraine. But if Russia is allies with Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. Then what the heck? They'll help out Ukraine just for the hell of it.

Ramzan Kadyrov won't take them in Chechnya. So Putin should take them in somewhere in Siberia. A bit cold for them, though.

Putin is gaining friends by telling them what they want to hear. This is a move to focus on our mistakes in giving Israel a blank check. Putin is playing 18th Century Great Game—linking up allies if things go south. Better watch out—next area of contention will be in South America.

because he died of cardiac arrest

physically impossible, because for that to happen, Putin would actually have to have a heart

and we've seen NO evidence of that so far
