Mayor Eric Adams urged parents in the Big Apple to prepare for "all hands on deck" as the city slashed newly trained safety agents amid the ongoing migrant crisis, warning parents that they may need to volunteer at their children's schools.
"To make sure we continue to create an environment for our children, we have to shift around personnel as much as possible… we're going to be leaning into parents and parent groups and do some volunteerism," Adams said in a media briefing on Tuesday afternoon.
"We have to pull all hands on deck," the mayor said.

I was going to say, if parents truly wanted to help, both their children and reduce demand for public school teachers, home school their kids.

So parents fleeced for public school tax money or decades but seeing achievement scores go down again and again, and fear for their kids’ physical safety, know that 6th grade girls are getting abortions and wonder if their kids are being given hormones in hypodermic syringes by school nurses to start their bodies on a sex change———are now supposed to be part of “all hands on deck” for the SS Democrat New York City?
If every City Employee was Mandated to take 3-4 Illegals in to their homes to feed and care for, it would fix everything.
First of all, it’s “parent” in more cases than “parents”. And they are often either busy working 2 low level jobs or are themselves born out of wedlock and lacking even a high school diploma. How, may we ask, are they supposed to “help”? They probably have a third grade reading level and are unable to do much in basic math. What kind of help would you expect, Mayor? And WHY should they help, when some of them pay taxes for the city to handle this? Because you’re squandering their tax money on illegal criminal invaders who don’t even belong in the country, let alone NYC classrooms?
