There has been plenty of talk lately about Silicon Valley abandoning the news business.
That’s largely true, but it doesn’t get to an even deeper problem: the utter erosion of public confidence in the media, which stems from a long history of self-inflicted wounds, high-profile errors and unmistakable bias.

There is currently a movement among journalism schools and journalists to become advocates rather than dispassionately reporting the facts. They rationalize that the “existential threats” of “global warming deniers,” conservatives, Trump, individualism, and patriotism are so profound and so dangerous they they must be extinguished even at the cost of objective truth.
Part of the credibility problem right there. Nothing in the article supports that statement.
The media had credibility? Not to my knowledge.
The MSM has always been untrustworthy. It is just more so today.

I’ve never cared or had any reason to trust the American media because they aren’t neutral in the way they disseminate and present information. In fact the only way nostalgia ‘works’ with the American media, is because “as bad as they were then, they’re worse now.”(More ideological, more incompetent, and less talented.)
Many of them start getting indoctrinated about liberal crusades & causes at a young age, which is one of the reasons they pursue the profession in the first place.
Exactly…and “journalists” cope with their media-fueled cognitive dissonance just by doubling down on the lies.

It all starts with Trumps declaration that “FAKE news is the enemy of the people”
Who could disagree with that? Calling certain news outlets fake is self explanatory because they did lie, practically two minute hate sessions.
The media have been biased as hell all my life. I remember my dad going on and on about their Liberal Bias as far back as the 70s.
I remember Dan Rather getting into it on air with GHWB in the late 80s.
I remember Dan Rather first airing and then sticking with a fake story about a letter from Dubya that people on this forum proved beyond doubt (it was typed in a font that did not exist until after the supposed letter was written) that it was fake and I remember Dan Rather trying to stand by his attempted fraud which was so embarrassing even See BS had to can him.
I remember when Walter Cronkite wrote his memoirs and shock shock revealed what a radical hardcore Leftist he really was.
But back then at least some of them used to admit that while yes, the media leaned overwhelmingly Left and Democrat they had professional standards and tried to not let their personal biases interfere with their code of professionalism. (they did exactly that) but at least some of them made some attempt at objectivity.
The mask slipped completely when Obama came along in 2007. They did not even try to hide their bias anymore. They practically dropped to their knees and serviced him live on air from the first moment they saw him and did not stop for the next 9 years.
So no, it wasn’t Trump that changed things. Trump was just the first guy to openly say to everyone what we already knew to be true about the media.
The Pulitzer Prize was established on the basis of advocacy journalism. The problem is public schools that have a long history of steering students away from critical thinking, among other things. Otherwise it is easy to see the MSM clown show for what it is.

Most of the time the “original reporting “ isn’t journalism either and that’s the problem that prompted this article. The “reporters” are known to be untrustworthy. Why believe ANYTHING they write? I don’t.

It’s not a narrative. It’s a proven fact that collaboration is going on with those in the media and Deep State.
A few years ago it was found that Andrea Mitchell created a “list” of journalist who would all share daily talking points, to be presented as news, over and over again. This group was supposedly disbanded when it was revealed to the public.
MSNBC is the most obvious. Just take a look at Banjo Boy and his adulterous wife, along with the two Twinks (Willy and Hayes) to see the foaming from the mouth propaganda.
They are going to pay a price for their malfeasance. It will start slowing then all of a sudden. Joseph Goebbels shot himself because he knew what was going to happen once he no longer had protection from the state. The same thing here.

EDITED-—CNN just did a “Fake Breaking News” story, (leaked by Deranged Prosecutor Jack Smith and his team of Radical Left Lunatics), that various people saw papers and boxes at Mar-a-Lago.
Of course they did......boxes, papers, etc. that were openly brought from the White House, as is my right under the Presidential Records Act. I even supplied, upon request, Security Tapes to these Election Interfering Thugs.
So what about all of the papers, boxes, and documents found at NUMEROUS Joe Biden places, like his garage floor alongside his cherished Corvette, or CHINATOWN, where boxes moved freely in and out (and the U of Pennsylvania). Biden doesn’t come under the Presidential Records Act because he wasn’t President, at the time.
Jack Smith has spent over $100,000,000 investigating me on this phony Russia Scam. How much have they spent investigating Crooked Joe on his much bigger deal-—having in his possession, on private property, US govt documents?
AND THIS—Biden, as VP, was NOT entitled to have sensitive and classified US govt documents

He is the urnalist that gave killer capitol police cop (Michael Byrd) cover on national TV. He also said on another occasion that when necessary he will determine / screen the news content for accuracy before airing. You get one guess as to who he was screening. PDJT

You provided an excellent and accurate summary of media bias over the last 50 years. The MSM truly is the enemy of the people and has been more responsible than any entity for the downfall of America.
