Bowling alley on league night. Very crowded, soft target.
Or perhaps hangouts for local GIs. He was having fantasies about shooting up a base... perhaps he decided to go after military people at a softer target.
It would depend on what the judge ordered. The restraining order may have lapsed. Or he may have ignored it, had hidden guns or otherwise had access to weapons that were not technically his- newer reports say he was a firearm instructor. He could easily have gotten these weapons from his place of work if not from his home.
I can think of a few 3-letter agencies who may have “loaned” him the equipment necessary to do the job. When you consider that our border is left WIDE OPEN even AFTER the Hamas attacks, is it really a stretch to believe this?

Reports are a mess. Some are confusing him with another Robert Card who was convicted of kiddie porn. Some say he had a WASR rifle, which is an AK clone. I’d trust only officially released info at this point, and even that might not even be 100%accurate.
Excellent point. Local bar or bowling alley would be a common place for some GIs to hang out.

I've speculated they could target multiple college campuses. They blend in easily, you have auditoriums with hundreds of students in there. Plus you'll have some "allies" amongst the student population.
Where Obama dumped Somali immigrants as part of a deliberate policy, as documented on this site a decade ago. As I recall, there were known terrorist training camps in the area.
