White House: We’re Concerned About Having Weapons for Our Own Defense, That’s Why We Asked for More Money
Breitbart ^ | 10/22/2023 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 10/23/2023 6:42:34 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that President Joe Biden requested supplemental funding from Congress because the U.S. running low on the weapons it needs for its own defense is “a concern.” But “the United States military can continue to defend our national security interests all around the world.”

Co-host Phil Mattingly asked, “In the President’s primetime address, he talked about the aid he’s seeking for Ukraine, and how much of that aid is to basically refill American stockpiles. My question is, the state of those stockpiles right now, the state of where U.S. weapons stockpiles stand, with two wars — sending now two different types of shipments on a regular basis towards two U.S. allies, how big is the concern that the U.S. is dangerously low on what it should have for its own defense right now?”

19 posts before someone thought to look at China taking notes about US stockpiles, location of carrier strike groups and peeking at Taiwan with calculating eyes.

Folks better believe China taking Taiwan would be an unmitigated disaster.

The chip shortage of a couple of years ago was NOTHING compared to being totally cut off.

Will China take Taiwan?

OK, anyone remember Hong Kong?

In total, about $113.1 billion in funding for Ukraine was authorized in 2022, according to an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. Most of that – about $67.1 billion – was for defense-related spending, the CRFB said. The other $46 billion included $26.9 billion for an economic support fund; $7.9 billion for international disaster assistance; $6.6 billion in assistance for refugees; $1.5 billion for assistance for Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia; plus another $3.1 billion for other nondefense spending.

The U.S. Agency for International Development has been coordinating with the Treasury Department to distribute authorized economic aid to Ukraine in tranches. In a report published on Feb. 17, USAID said it had so far provided $13 billion in “direct budget support” to the government of Ukraine, or “GoU” for short.

“This funding has helped the Ukraine pay the salaries of 618,000 educators, 517,000 health workers, and 56,500 first responders,” the report says. “It has also helped them to sustain critical healthcare services, meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people, assist 1.3 million internally displaced persons, provide housing assistance to 4.1 million people, and provide social assistance to 240,000 low-income families and 480,000 persons with disabilities.”

That report did not say how much was spent in total on pensions, but a USAID spokesperson sent us another USAID report to Congress that indicated $4 billion of budget support for Ukraine was spent on pensions as of Nov. 30, 2022.

While the infamous video of Biden talking about “providing funding to pay Ukrainian pensioners” may have caught some by surprise, the fact is that Biden made those comments BEFORE Congress approved the money months ago on a bipartisan basis.

A demented Biden’s reelection chance were nil, according to the laws
of diminishing returns........until the attack on Israel fell in his lap.
Now he’s suddenly morphed into a strong, decisive “leader.”

In Israel:

<><>Biden “formally announced” the “already-arranged deal” to allow humanitarian assistance to move into Gaza from Egypt, and $100 million in new aid for those in need among Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.......which was hammered out “WITH Israel in Washington” BEFORE Biden left.

<><>Biden also told Netanyahu that he would go to the Congress with a military support package for Israel of “unprecedented size.” (source yahoo.com)

Backstory: Since 1973, Israel has received more than $120 billion US tax
dollars in MILITARY assistance alone, including “three special aid” packages.
<><>billions for signing the Israel-Egypt peace treaty
<><>billions for Israel’s withdrawal from the Sinai.
<><>billions for redeployment of Israeli forces
<><>rebuilding Israeli air bases in the Negev cost $5 billion.

Not content w/ the mega billions already in his pocket, Zelensky now says
he wants US tax dollars to Ukraine according to the Israeli model......here’s what he means:

Congressional Research Service
US Foreign aid to Israel
60 page detailed report

https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL33222/44

The concerned Israeli lobby made sure Congress is required by law to ensure that U.S. military aid in the Middle East region doesn’t damage Israel’s military superiority over its neighbors. That requirement enjoys broad bipartisan support and has served as a benchmark for ensuring Israel receives robust U.S. support.

Bidenomics: U.S. Budget Deficit Explodes 23% Higher to $1.7 Trillion
Ntl debt increased from $32 trillion to $33.6 trillion, in the last four months.
Breitbart ^ | 10/20/2023 | John Carney

The U.S. budget deficit increased 23 percent to $1.7 trillion, an increase of $320 billion, in the year (after the Biden administration pushed through the Inflation Reduction Act which it claimed would close the government’s funding gap). The explosive growth in the deficit came as revenue fell $457 billion from a year ago and expenses decreased by just $137 billion.

“Sadly, some on this board actually do not care that this invasion of military aged young men make up the majority of these invaders.”

They don’t care because many are not Americans. It’s not their problem.

I believe simple munitions don’t really expire, but more complex ones do. Missiles expire, but there is some room after the official date.

The M39 missiles (ATACMS Block I) Biden finally sent and Ukraine used to take out 24 Russian helicopters were officially expired too, but obviously still worked.

Why in the heck is this even being discussed publicly? Don’t these people have to maintain security clearances?

How stupid do you have to be to qualify for a position in the Biden-1/Obama-3 administration?

Is there an IQ cap like 75 or so?

And think about this... What kind of nitwit thinks it's a good idea to complain in public about needing more money for military gear:

THE GOOD NEWS is no Speaker’s been elected......
means the profligate Congress is not throwing away tax dollars.

Nice to know Biden’s getting agita WRT his offshore banking
accounts, and Zelensky’s wife had to cancel her Paris shopping trip.

Mrs Z’ll have to hit the sale racks at Wal-Mart.

I also heard that the stock they’re pulling from was near the end of its shelf life and would have been destroyed anyways.
