Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has told troops gathered at the Gaza border that they will soon see the Palestinian enclave "from inside," suggesting an expected ground invasion with the aim of annihilating Hamas could be nearing.
Israel pounded Gaza with more air strikes following the 7 October rampage by Hamas gunmen who killed 1,400 Israelis ...

Pray for the IDF - for their personal safety and their eternal salvation, that through this fiery trial they may come to know Jesus as their Messiah.

Israeli officials commit to Gaza ground invasion:
“It’s going to be long, it’s going to be intense”

Seems like Biden and Sunak visited to slow down the IDF and give Hamas time to get out.
Disgusting.
I’m not trying to make light of the situation, but my money is on “Never” as far as a large ground attack. Three, perhaps four days afterwards, yes. But now, almost two weeks later? The news focus has shifted from the ‘old victims’, to the ‘new victims’. As with the hospital incident, the western media is thirsting to write stories about how mean the IDF is. Just for “balance”, of course.
They’re waiting for the US to pass funding and to send ground troops, er excusez-moi, “advisors.”
Otherwise Israel would have invaded by now.
Agreed. Biden/Obama managed to drag this out long enough to protect Hamas and give the Muslims time for their “days of rage” and anti-Israel propaganda. I think it would be very difficult for Israel to go in now, simply based on internal politics and the fact that the delay has weakened Netanyahu.
Some people say that - that there will be no advance on the ground - or it will be only a token effort. It is a hard situation to read. There may be negotiations going on, behind the scenes, especially for the release of the hostages.
I agree, there is a hostage issue going on behind the scenes.
But...do we really want to be looking at another Jimmy Carter year of hostage taking? This is a rhyming repeat of history.

Joe was the first US president to visit a war zone (NOT). His famous diplomacy has staved off a ground invasion, maybe even a hostage exchange .Israel and Hamas are getting American moolah (Ukraine leftovers) and Joe’s polling numbers will explode.
Yep - gave them time to protect themselves while blocking civilians from leaving....they remind me of Democraps..
No, the IDF is killing Hamas from the air and with artillery. There is no need for haste
Ground troops are held in reserve to kill Hezbollah in the north where Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon is the greater threat
Presently, there is no real need to send troops into Gaza.
The press has a one track mind. They assume a ground invasion will follow because it always has in the past. They have been hyping the ground invasion and are now foolishly trying to make the template valid
The buildup needs to be in the north.
More likely they are waiting for civilians to leave.
Who knows what was promised during the Biden visit?
This has been what, a week now?
Are the Israelis going to launch their attack or just keep talking about it?
