A Jan. 6 defendant who smashed a Capitol window with an ice ax and a giant cardboard tube before she used a bullhorn to instruct rioters on how to "take" the building — and who recently received a personalized hat from former President Donald Trump — was sentenced to more than four years in prison Tuesday.

"Rachel Powell, known as "Bullhorn Lady," broke a Capitol window before using a bullhorn to tell rioters they should "coordinate together if you’re going to take the building."
4 years for that. Damn.

Justified. She was a real insurrectionist, as opposed to the other 500 protestors who were using their Constitutional rights to peacefully protest.

Nope. Nothing will happen to the pro-Hamas idiots who did similar things today, so this is not justice but the appaling double standard used by deep state to intimidate the opposition.

But we were told that the broken windows anti crime policy is racist.
It is unfortunate that Trump didn't preemptively pardon those involved in the January 6th protest.

I know. The state is picking favorites. However, as I read the law, you can peacefully protest, but you can’t call to arms for people to take over buildings.
Most of the other 500 odd protesters are being railroaded, but this women, I believe on her merits, deserves a jail sentence.

I agree. There is a whole lot of injustice going on with January 6. The US has gone Soviet on this point.

Pretty severe for vandalism, compare to all the charges/sentences that Antifa & BLM got during the 2020 riots. Oh wait... they didn’t get anything...

The rule of law? Some appeals court must be ready and willing to overturn these stupid and silly convictions. DC is a cesspool of stupidity.

Agreed. She damaged the Trump MAGA cause more effectively than if she were a Democratic agent provocateur. Maybe she was, but probably just an idiot since she's off to the hoosegow.

How did he know there were going to be such vendetta prosecutions during his last 14 days in office? It was largely a peaceful protest. Only person killed was a protestor.

It is unfortunate that Trump didn't preemptively pardon those involved in the January 6th protest.Again you prove your ignorance. Trump didn't know which people were innocent and which ones did dangerous things. Neither does the DOJ for that matter.

Again you prove your ignorance. Trump didn't know which people were innocent and which ones did dangerous things. Neither does the DOJ for that matter. You don't have to know the names of the individuals involved in order to preemptively pardon. Second, he could have preemptively pardoned those who could be charged with nonviolent offenses such as parading without a permit, trespassing, interfering with a government function etc.
