House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said Tuesday that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) committed to linking Israel and Ukraine aid packages as he seeks to shore up support for his Speakership bid.
McCaul is among a number of moderate Republicans who have come around to backing Jordan this week after meetings with the former far-right Freedom Caucus chairman.
McCaul told CNN’s Kate Bolduan that one deciding factor for him was Jordan’s commitment to linking U.S. aid for Israel’s war against Hamas with funding for Ukraine’s war against Russia.
“Well, I had a very good conversation with him. I was concerned about national security issues, particularly if we pass an Israeli supplemental national security bill, would Ukraine be included in that?” McCaul said.
“And I was assured that he could link the two. He would look at the details of that, but that was very important to me.”

You do you have who is better than Jordan, who will get the votes?
Democrats are vegetarians. They never eat their own.
Republicans are cannibals. They eat their own all the time.
The ONLY president who made users of US military pay more was Trump. No one else. Not Bush, Not Reagan, Not Eisenhower.
Yeah, with his OTHER scandal looming (Wrestling coach-related) he’s having a hard time -—and even with his obvious concessions to the GOPe,being an Ukraine and Israel Aid-booster)he’s having a hard time. But he will probably WILL win if they can figure out a way to make the OSU scandal go away.

Conditions are such that the people of the United States should not expend resources upon foreign wars, but on reclaiming and defending both our borders and our resources. I doubt I am alone in that sense.
That’s a good one.
“Jordan has ALREADY committed to betraying the majority of his own members on Ukraine aid.”
>>>>>>>>>>>
Jordan is just continuing traditional US foreign policy:
- Support our allies against Islamists and NeoSoviets, and by doing so securing America’s long-term security.
Not doing that, would actually be a betrayal of traditional US foreign policy that was initiated by Reagan.
I see that
Thanks
ierael ukraine and our border will all be limked is what i’ve been reading for two days.
“Once we get the House majority, we Republicans will stop the spending! This time for sure!”
It has been “this time” so many times I lost count. With the other two pieces of the triad of control for money liberal, the republicans in the house will have to make deals to get anything done. They will fold each time as they have been doing for many generations.

Wonderful graphics!
>>”If Jordan says as Speaker he won’t allow Ukraine aid, he won’t get voted as speaker.”
Agreed. That’s just the reality. Electing Jordan as speaker isn’t going to solve all our problems, but he moves the center of gravity of congressional Republicans closer to the patriot coalition and further from the GOPe.
“...he moves the center of gravity of congressional Republicans closer to the patriot coalition and further from the GOPe. “
I agree with that. He is publicly opposed to Ukraine aid, which is where almost all of the base is.
In my view, the GOP biggest problems that most of the elected politicians and the rest of the party elites are hugely out of step with their voters.
The Dem elites are much closer to their voters.
Republicans have been getting cheated and screwed by illegal mail in ballots but having
honest and clean elections is less important than foreign military aid giveaways. Why is that?
