The first flight under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive order to rescue Americans from Israel arrived Sunday night, bringing with it around 300 Americans.
The flight arrived in Tampa around 8 p.m. ET.
“There was a devoid of leadership, so we stepped up and led,” DeSantis said in a video at the airport.
DeSantis thanked Project Dynamo for helping rescue the citizens from the war-ridden region after Hamas launched brutal terror attacks on Israel. Project Dynamo says it conducts operations “where the U.S. government lacks access or a presence” to rescue “vulnerable populations.” It is a Veteran-led nonprofit.
DeSantis signed the emergency executive order last Thursday.
“We will not leave our residents behind,” DeSantis said Thursday. “To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way.”

From Wiki
Its range with full payload is 3,850 nautical miles (7,130 km; 4,430 mi)
The headlines on these reports are sensationalist nonsense. These people weren’t “rescued.” There was no imminent danger to them. They simply got stranded when airlines canceled flights to and from Israel in the aftermath of the Hamas attacks.
No. But the hype prior to the start of the Counter Offensive had strong elements of dismissing the Russians as stupid and hopeless.
“why didnt trump do this”
Why don’t people capitalize and punctuate correctly?
What authority does PDJT have to evacuate citizens from another country? Oh, he could’ve done it back when he had the authority as POTUS, but IT HADN’T HAPPENED YET.
Ever notice how the Trump bashers on this forum leave a lot to be desired when it comes to I.Q. and logic?
“Did he not say Hezbollah was ‘very smart.’? Did he not criticize Netanyahu?”
“Yes” to both.
Hezbollah IS very smart, the same way Satan is very smart.
Netanyahu deserved righteous criticism.
I don’t get why Americans would travel on purpose to ANY part of the world that has been, and is, rife with unrest and frequent wars. If they do, then it’s up to them to get out. Why should taxpayers, fed or state, foot the bill?
actually, the answer is yes
cuz it explains why Russia keeps getting their asses handed to them
I listened to Mayorkas NOT answering senators during oversight hearings in the past few days (I wasn't sure of the exact day of the video I was watching) and know as never before---well, I have known it for years---but never as I know now----that we have no borders nor security at all under the Biden administration.
We are just about as vulnerable as Israel with, unquestionably, enemies plotting more viciously than ever to embed themselves within our borders.
God bless any and every state governor who will look upon his or her state as a nation and serve, in effect, as its president, while we do not have a federal government that will recognize the states, and will not protect national borders. 10the AMENDMENT !!! -----And also repeal the 17th (Okay, different subject, but while we're at trying to keep a Republic . . . .)
Watching local Miami media the last two or three days, you would barely know RDS engaged.
His work to help Floridians stuck in Israel has been noted but almost always wrapped in a barrage of hurried reports about some smaller efforts.
They bury his good work, just like last year after the hurricane. The guy got bridges rebuilt and relief in record time after the disaster...but the media in Florida hates DeSantis, so they barely reported the fact that he was the one who spearheaded the efficiency.
Florida news.
I see you are following the main stream media narrative, you learned well comrade. You are probably too lazy to listen to the entire comment made by Trump, in context.
Yale College and Harvard Law.
Asking to much for him to know that “devoid” is not a noun?
“you think he’s too dumb to articulate what he means”
Say what you want about President Trump but nobody would truly think that he cannot articulate. Sometimes depending on the reaction of the media someone needs to come out and explain what President Trump really meant so they can just move on to another story.
By what authority ?. duh
NYC to Tel Aviv, airport to airport, is 5660 miles. Bit of a problem there...
It’s a good thing that G-d made the Azor Islands. I know I stopped there when flying from Camp Lejune to Greece back in the day.
