The first flight under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive order to rescue Americans from Israel arrived Sunday night, bringing with it around 300 Americans.
The flight arrived in Tampa around 8 p.m. ET.
“There was a devoid of leadership, so we stepped up and led,” DeSantis said in a video at the airport.
DeSantis thanked Project Dynamo for helping rescue the citizens from the war-ridden region after Hamas launched brutal terror attacks on Israel. Project Dynamo says it conducts operations “where the U.S. government lacks access or a presence” to rescue “vulnerable populations.” It is a Veteran-led nonprofit.
DeSantis signed the emergency executive order last Thursday.
“We will not leave our residents behind,” DeSantis said Thursday. “To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way.”

Lots, it is a huge tourist destination. About a quarter of the little old ladies in my church go over there to visit the sites.
He could have, but didn’t. There have been suggestion that he use Trump Force One to rescue Americans. but TF1 is not set up for 300 passengers. It would have to be gutted and the interior replaced with passenger seats and overhead passenger modules not to mention restrooms and other amenities. It’s just impractical.
So what? He has no authority, and probably not the money any longer, to head up such a task.
Thanks for stating the obvious!
The joy for those that DeSanctus did something,
must make their day! Whoopee! ;)
LOL!

They are probably too busy trying to figure out if DeSantis is a terrorist or not.
+1
The only seat Buy-DUNG will take is on a toilet, and even that depends.
270 people were on the charter flight, traveling from Tel Aviv to Portugal to Tampa.
75% Floridians
91 children
4 dogs

There was another 7 people who landed at orlando, but I can’t find details anywhere on why only 7 people.
So of the orlando flight, 202 were Floridians... Was that all that were from Florida that wanted to leave Israel? I don’t know, as I haven’t seen any further information.
Wonder where the other 25% were from?
Uh, what’s the point of this question?
Besides where would Trump get an airplane?
Kudos to Governor DeSantis!
His jet is a Boeing 757-200 that does not have the range to fly to Israel directly from anywhere in the US. Also, as it is an older twin engine jet, it is not allowed to fly anywhere that is more than 120 minutes from a landing field that can take it under the ETOPS regulation.
There is additionally the small matter of currently being under indictment and out on bail while a trial occurs and having the jetliner publicly head overseas would be an image his lawyers would scream at.
Keep serving up that swill you get from CNN and MSLSD.
DeSantis might have signed off on this……
…..but it was Florida Congressman Cory Mills who initiated and implemented rescuing 96 Americans, even going himself!
Keep serving up that swill you get from CNN and MSLSD.

How about the swill I get from Trump himself?
Did he not say Hezbollah was ‘very smart.’? Did he not criticize Netanyahu?
You Angry Trumpers are all so butt hurt that DeSantis brought 300 Americans out of Israel.
And Trump did nada.
There may be more information later....
I just haven’t seen that much anywhere.
Considering the expense, I’m still wondering why a plane with only 7 people landed in orlando, if that is what occurred.
