We Having Fun Yet? An Airman with an Air National Guard security forces unit takes the plunge for cold-water immersion Jan. 27, 2023, as part of a 16-day Cold-Weather Operations Course led by the Air Force at Fort McCoy, WI. More than 50 Airmen were participating in the training from across the Air Force. Besides cold-water immersion, the Airmen also learned about cold-weather shelters, survival techniques, cold-weather uniform wear, and more. Fort McCoy has a long history of supporting cold-weather training. Eighty years prior to this training, in January 1943, the installation hosted winter training for the Army's 76th Division prior to the Division deploying to Europe to fight in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. Howdy, Kathy.
Ready to catch your breath this evening or did being short-handed this week leave you stuck with a lot of work still to be done?

Howdy, PRO.
Did you get any mowing done this week?
Lack of rain here is still giving me a break. The grass isn’t growing and I have no complaints. LOL

Hi radu!
Been too wet here to mow, probably tomorrow or Friday.
Our weather has really cooled down, barely warm enough for shorts in the afternoon.
Son's off tomorrow too so we'll hang out and have lunch.

Lengthy instructional email sent to back up the phone conversation.
Waiting to see if I get a return email tonight. She works on the slope and they work 12 hour days.

Be grateful for your rain. We’re begging for it here and just can’t seem to get it. All that wonderful rain from the hurricane that hit Mexico yesterday is moving across south of us. The radar shows light rain over my area but it isn’t reaching the ground. Our bone-dry air is evaporating it. *sigh*
Oh well, that means a little longer before I have to mow. LOL
It was cloudy and a bit chilly here today but is SUPPOSED to be around 80 tomorrow. We’ll see how THAT goes. Next week, Fall moves in.

Hey there, Kathy.
It’s been a pretty low-key week altogether. I gassed up the car and made a grocery run this afternoon. Have a load of laundry in the washer now while I watch The Amazing Race. A little something accomplished today. LOL
Maybe the ducks are crabby because they miss sunshine. LOL Those clouds just won’t move out, will they?
