US stocks were lower on Monday, with the S&P 500 losing nearly 0.5%, the Dow Jones falling about 100 points and the Nasdaq declining 0.8% amid a global risk-off sentiment triggered by Israel declaring war against Hamas in response to an attack by the group on Saturday. The move prompted a rise in oil prices, raising further concerns that inflation will move up again which could push interest rates higher. Amazon, Nvidia and Tesla sank more than 2%. Also, shares of United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines were down about 5% amid concerns the conflict in the Middle East would disrupt travel. On the other hand, Exxon Mobil (3.3%) and Chevron (2.5%) were up, benefiting from the rise in oil prices. Also, defense stocks soared, namely Raytheon Technologies (3.8%) and Lockheed Martin (7.2%).

Also, Crude Oil is up $3.50 at $85.30 and gold is up approximately $17 at around $1850.00

These are all perfectly normal numbers. Crude might be a little more volatile than normal, but nothing happening today indicating much out of the ordinary. Defense related stocks are spiking up however.

Prayers up for all in harms way in the ME. Except for the terrorists; they need to be squashed like the bugs they are.

I filled up yesterday and the ‘Propane Guy’ filled us up last week.

Things are going to get even uglier than they already are under Brandon & Crew. *SPIT*

Even at this point it would not have been necessary if we were fuel independent. alas, Biden screwed that up too.

Also, defense stocks soared, namely Raytheon Technologies (3.8%) and Lockheed Martin (7.2%).

I figured Biden would get us into multiple wars, which is why I purchased some defense stocks about a year ago. All predictable.

US Stocks finished higher on Monday, recovering from earlier losses as investors digested remarks from Fed’s officials amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas. The Dow Jones jumped more than 190 points after an earlier 100-point loss while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq added 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively. Federal Reserve Vice Chair Philip Jefferson said officials need to “proceed carefully” to balance the risk of tightening too much.

Meanwhile, Israel’s declaration of war against Hamas, following an attack by the group on Saturday, contributed to a rise in oil prices. Energy sector was the top performer with Exxon Mobil (3.5%) and Chevron (2.8%) leading gains, benefiting from the increase in oil prices. On the other hand, shares of Carnival, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines declined by over 4%, led by concerns that the Middle East conflict could disrupt travel plans.

Gold is trading up sharply at 1862.25 (up 30.39) and oil is at 86.46 (up 3.64).
