New York Governor Kathy Hochul has condemned the pro-Palestine rally planned for Times Square on Sunday amid calls for her to cancel the event from being held in a city with the biggest Jewish population in the world.
Hochul described the rally as abhorrent and morally repugnant in a post she made on X, formerly Twitter after Hamas militants invaded Israel and slaughtered hundreds of citizens.
'The people of Israel are facing violent terrorist attacks and civilian kidnappings. I condemn plans to rally in Times Square tomorrow in support of the perpetrators of these horrific actions,' she said.

This is ironic given that modern Israel was overrun with Marxist influences starting in 1948...and it is mostly secular.

Like on 9/11. We had many middle eastern men in our department at a tech company in central NY State. Work started at 8:00. They didn’t show up, but had always been punctual prior to that. Then the attacks began an hour later. How did they know not to come in THAT morning?
There a people group who happen to have religious beliefs some jewish people follow jewish Torah etc, some are christin, some no religion, some likely otherreligions but if born in a family Of descendants of Jewish people they are Jewish, as others are people born British, Irish, Russian etc etc descent.
Jewish people is not the same as following Jewish religion.
