DeSantis brushes off 2024 polling, suggests Trump only leading because 'people have not made a decision'

GREENEVILLE, S.C. – Presidential candidate Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., does not think that 2024 polling reflects the current state of the heated GOP race, shaking off recent surveys that show him in 3rd place.

A recent Suffolk University survey for USA Today and the Boston Globe suggested that while former President Donald Trump remains the front-runner in the race, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley now leads DeSantis by 9 percentage points, 19% to 10%.

When asked about recent polling, DeSantis told Fox News Digital that he believes voters are still "on the fence."

"I don't think any of it matters," DeSantis told reporters at a recent campaign event. "You've got to put yourself in a position to have the type of infrastructure needed to do well when the voting starts. But what's going to happen is none of the polls are going to matter when people start voting. That's what's going to determine everything."

He’s under the establishment’s control and his supporters are going to have a hard time accepting that fact!

I’ve only posted that link 2 maybe 3 times total. It really is interesting though. Especially after the largest war in decades just broke out in Israel today. What does Tucker know, that he won’t share, I wonder.

...DeSantis is arguably the greatest Governor in the nation at present...

That honor would belong to Kari Lake if her election had not been stolen.

First Hillary wants to deprogram Trump supporters. Now he talks about peoples minds. Add in all the gas lighting that goes on in DC and it starts getting interesting. Almost as if you aren’t allowed to think for yourself or know your own mind.

Repeating what over-paid consultants told him in order to justify their failure to capture the lightning in the bottle.

Translation: once we finish railroading Trump out of the race or into a jail cell everything will change and they might still pick me.

Except your take on it as related to Trump was debunked days ago. Last weeks tittilation was Tuckers fears about Trump’s assassination. I for one do not tremble at Carlson predictions not attach any significance to them. Tucker has an interesting mind but his take has been flawed in the past. He says controversial things for an audience share.

Maybe he is.

He’s an awesome governor of Florida.

BUT

When you raise campaign funds, do you get to keep them (after expenses) if your campaign fails? I seem to recall some here said that about FakePocahontas and Bernie.

I live in the Gulf Coast area of Florida where Ian hit hard. Yes. He’s been fantastic as Gov. You would think this would propel his poll numbers to the heavens. But where I’m at, he is getting a beaten badly by President Trump. That in itself should be eye opening.

He was never that bright, but he had this fantastic group of state legislaturers to ramp promises and to carry out.

I really do not give a cr@p where he is regarding anything! He has shown his bonifides as backstabbing, big/campaign/donor butt licking, booger/plegm smearing, cheer-leader for the young guns and Bush-Karl Rove BS machine! So my vote is F him and the donkey he rode in on! …and God bless and protect our country.

He has shown his true colors. That’s why he is even losing Florida.

I live in the Ft Myers area where Ian devastated us, and I mean bad. Ron was terrific in getting help needed and the causeway to Sanibel back up. All he had to do was wait and run as Trump’s VP ( arguments have been made about residency, an easy fix). Then with VP on the resume and his past political choices, he could literally write his future. But no. Greed over came him and he aligned with the Uni Party.

Ron obviously thinks the swamp or Uni Party will succeed in destroying Trump. I happen to think the stakes are too high for Trump to lose. We will see how this plays out. The scary part for me isnt so much current law warfare and Uni Party destructive politics. My fear is rank and file Republicans across the country who cannot or will not see what their party has become, a Rino infested Uni Party. Nor do these same people show the slightest inclination of taking action to fix the problem. Its as if they are far too comfortable with the blindfold to ever remove it. And that’s what people like Ron DeSantiss count on.

Looks like that is what he's going to do whether he likes it or not.
