I predict the judge’s clerk has done some prior work or some such for Schumer, probably not an affair, and Trump is baiting the media to take up for her and Schumer by pointing out that she just worked for Schumer as a loyal left leaning Dim with no affair. Which is the equivalent of admitting that the judge’s office is heavily biased against Trump.

Apparently, the clerk was very frequently speaking into the judge’s ear. This is pretty unusual in a courtroom, from what I read. I am not a lawyer.
