Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a GOP candidate for president in 2024, on Sunday went after former President Trump for not showing up to the GOP debates, suggesting Trump was “adopting Joe Biden’s basement strategy.”
“With all due respect to Donald Trump, we’re not going to beat the Democrats by adopting Joe Biden’s basement strategy,” DeSantis said in an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Read the article, DeSantis is talking about Trump getting out and actually campaigning on the ground. That said, Trump‘s going to be a bit handicapped because he’s got a lot of different court cases to be attending. The more interesting aspect of this article, and lots of them over the past couple weeks, is that the candidates are all realizing they actually have to challenge Trump, they can’t just be his fanboy.

I really wish Desantis would get a clue and support our nominee, Trump. The more he fights Trump, the more he sours his reputation in my mind. Additionally, Trump is hardly running a basement strategy. Trump is doing plenty of rallies.
