NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- Five New Jersey hospitals are reinforcing mask mandates due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases.
Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, Southern Ocean Medical Center in Stafford, Carrier Clinic in Montgomery and Old Bridge Medical Center will be going back to their pandemic protocols in regards to mask-wearing.
These five hospitals are run by Hackensack Meridian Health.
New Jersey has seen a spike in COVID-related hospitalizations and 558 people were hospitalized this week.

And so it begins. People will bark about it, but a *vast* majority in this country will comply with any mask mandate at work, at school, at retail locations, etc.
I see the “Vote By Mail” variant is hitting the Democrat states.
I smell a federal funds bonus bump to hospitals and treatment facilities that mandate masks. There is no other explanation.
All part of the plan. Two weeks ago biden hole started sending out all those new covid tests FREE.
We got no guarantee they aren’t going to be showing many false positive results.
So many will be showing positive from flu symptoms.
Down the rabbit hole for a second election cycle.
Compliance is death at this point.
The next lockdown will be permanent with FEMA camp internment of legacy US citizens the ultimate goal.
Covid related means what...someone who is already sick and managed to get Covid too??
People who can choose their hospitals…might want to avoid these.
The adminstration is resurrecting a playbook we’ve seen in the past.
Wanna bet they are using remdesivir in quantity?
Wanna check on whether they are testing everyone admitted for any reason, and driving up numbers hospitalized “with covid”…..not “ from covid”
yup....same story....different day....noticing they’re not mentioning age.
Maybe, but that might be regional.
A lot of us here in Texas didn’t go along with that crap the first time around.
Our governor has already said there won’t be another mask mandate. What would be the point? Most of us would ignore it anyway.
Could be a number of reasons...
The health systems want independent thinkers to quit and be replaced with cheaper yes men.
This could really be about TB.
The health system could be getting a quid pro quo from Deep State for doing it.
Not in our area of Central Texas. And we're not in Austin. People have started masking up during the summer. 101F+ for 64 consecutive days, and these idiots are masking up. Some while driving solo.
Want it to stop, here’s a suggestion fir folks using these health systems.
Note every time that am employee of these health systems violates their own employer’s infection control protocols with regard to muzzles.
Note the job description of the offender, the time and location of the violation, describe what the employee did and/or didn’t do.
Make the info, minus any personal information, public.
And ask about nosocomial infection rates every time you visit one of these facilities.
Make the answers public.
Strange. I might have seen three masks all summer. They’re pretty free-faced around here.
If people want to diaper their faces, fine. Just don’t expect me to go along with that foolishness. I didn’t the first time around either and I saw many others who didn’t.
The problem the first time around is you couldn't go into our local HEB stores without a mask. People lined up outside waiting for the stores to open at 8am (apparently they needed time to "hose down" the stores because COVID was that dangerous). Armed guards outside the stores to make sure everyone behaved and all were wearing masks. I wish this were sarcasm.
WE WILL NOT COMPLY!
In other news these hospitals are putting up chain link fences to reduce the numbers of mosquitos getting in
