Food banks across the U.S. are reporting a massive uptick in demand as Americans continue to struggle with inflation.
Several food banks told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the volume of requests for food has risen to levels even higher than during the COVID-19 pandemic, as more people struggle to afford their daily expenses. Many food banks credited the increase in demand for food to inflation, which has cut into real wages and made purchasing everyday goods, including groceries, much more expensive. I have worked food distribution volunteer once a month at an area food-bank groceries-distribution food-fair for years. Before Covid, we usually served about 300 families with a shopping basket of food -rice, beans, veggies, and usually a protein item. Now, it is in excess of 650 families. Less than half speak English. We always run out of food now.
The Leech Illegals are eating up food , money and giving Nothing in return
but those folks will keep voting for the same party that put them in the position to need.
Well, Joe Biden has no power to pass spending bills. The Republicans have been in control of Congress for the last decade, not Joe Biden. “Bidenomics” is clever marketing in an election year, but it was in actuality Republican enablers who caused the inflation.
I put an end to it when I saw the kind of vehicles the clientele were driving when they picked up the donated food.

Gaetz is right about this, but he will probably fold too. I think most people in DC understand that kicking the can on fiscal matters is the only option because nobody wants it to crash on their watch.
Food banks on the local level. No one size fits all. Why can’t obesity be said in the same sentence? EBT cards programmed for rice and beans only. That would fix both problems. Said it for the umpteenth time.
When COVID was at its height, a local kosher grocery gave away boxes of food to help out the large local Orthodox families. Believe me, there were tons of obvious Hispanic illegals lining up to get that food, too. And they were not turned away.
The demand curve for “free” is infinite

biden is giving about 10 billion a month to Ukraine
biden is paying the salaries of Ukrainian citizens
biden wants to turn your gas-powered car into a junk heap
biden wants to turn your gas stove into a pile of scrap metal
biden is turning your savings into scrap paper through inflation
biden doesn’t give a rat’s whisker about you
Trump will stop the money flow to Ukraine and the other nonsense. Trump cares about the USA.
I personally know of one entire graduate department at an Ivy League university where ALL the students are getting food stamps - and I'm willing to bet its not the only department. One of them learned that its as easy as sending in a form, with no verification or checking whatsoever. So they ALL did it.
These are kids whose parents own houses in the Hamptons, are bankers/expats in London, own profitable businesses, etc. etc... If Fed.gov is giving away $300 per month, why not?
95% of the entire program is a SCAM.
The real crises is Famine. It is the third horse of the Apocalypse. Food shortages will become a big issue shortly.
