During an interview with NPR’s “Here and Now,” White House National Climate Adviser Ali Zaidi responded to a question on where the White House is getting money for the American Climate Corps given that money for the idea was taken out of the Inflation Reduction Act by stating that the plan “was a good idea then and it’s a good idea now.” And that they’ve used executive action “to bring together the authorities and resources of six different federal agencies,” and also boasted that President Joe Biden has “made sure that we’re using all of the tools of the presidency, whether it’s executive actions to stand up the Climate Corps or his wartime powers with the Defense Production Act” on climate.
Co-host Scott Tong asked, [relevant exchange begins around 2:15] “There were billions of dollars proposed for this idea when it was part of the bill known as the Inflation Reduction Act. It eventually passed, but this provision got taken out. So, where’s the money to pay for this?”

Don’t forget GOPe/RINOs especially in the senate by Gobbler McConnell pushed this spending bill to passage over the line and raised inflation even more. McConnell belongs in the same prison cell as Menendez.
Dems can put the money together for their pet projects with no problem. Try to get the money to build a wall and the Dems get a judge to shut you down.
How can a President use wartime powers when no act of war has been declared and passed?
We are no longer a constitutional republic, ruled by laws.
Legislation is supposed to originate in the House. It now originates in the Executive branch, most often by decree.
We now live in a full tyranny, at the mercy of these beasts. Those ostensibly on “our” side are largely placated with money and privilege.
Look at what Trump went thorough trying to build the Border Wall. He had to scrape for every single cent of it, which he should NOT have had to do. That effort should have come from the House, had the money allocated in a budget, and proceeded as legal legislation. But since 1997 (IIRC) there has not been an annual budget for the next year passed prior to the end of the current budget year.
Now, we have continuing resolutions, “accounting errors” in the Pentagon to the tune of hundreds of millions or billions of dollars which are scooped up and sent directly to Ukraine without any legislative process.

A good journalist would have raised those questions.
The only “good journalists” left in this country are all described as partisan right-wingers (such as John Solomon).
Journalism is dead. Since Trump became President, it became undeniably clear.
If the Left retains power after the 2024 elections, look for uniformed (and armed) Climate Corp troops to be patrolling our streets and neighborhoods to ensure we are in compliance with government mandates. Severe punishments for those who are not.
