Zelensky tells US he will ‘lose the war’ without their support

Volodymyr Zelensky pleaded with US lawmakers to maintain military support for Ukraine on Thursday, as Republicans signalled that they would try to block a new funding package put forward by Joe Biden.

The Ukrainian president addressed senators in a private meeting on Capitol Hill, warning that his country would “lose the war” without US support, before meeting the US president in the White House.

His second visit to Washington since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion comes as Ukraine attempts to push through Russian defensive lines in the south and east as part of a major counteroffensive that Kyiv says requires more armaments from the West.

But despite Mr Zelensky’s pleas for more funding, a group of Republicans in the House of Representatives opposes further US involvement in the war and has signalled they will vote down a proposed $24 billion (about £19 billion) package of fresh military and humanitarian aid.

Biden announces new $325 million in Ukraine aid during Zelensky visit

Zelensky’s visit comes at a crucial moment for Ukraine, as it seeks to shore up support and secure additional funding for its counteroffensive against Russia.

“Today I approved the next tranche of U.S. security assistance to Ukraine including more artillery, more ammunition, more anti-tank weapons and next week, the first U.S. Abrams tanks will be delivered to Ukraine,” Biden said.

The latest aid package will focus on bolstering Ukraine’s air defense capabilities, Biden said.

If it wouldn’t be for the US………..

If it would not be for the US most Ukrainians still would have a roof over their heads. Overall life and living conditions weren’t that bad in Ukraine, aside from corruption which reeked to high heaven, many times worse than here in the US and along with it US governmental agencies involvement, in order to gain a foothold, stirring the pot long before the last elections, which were a sham to begin with just like the last elections here in the US.

Probably the eastern portion of the Ukraine which has a large portion of ethnic Russians and was constantly assaulted by radical groups; would have been annexed by Russia and things eventually would have settled down. The same goes for Europe if they had not jumped on the US bandwagon. The US purposely damaged the gas supply lines making sure that Europe in general and Germany in particular remains dependent on the US like a colony, just in case they may come to their senses and change their mind.

Those days when Russia had any ideas of expansion are long gone and over with and things of the past. All they want is a quiet neighborhood without NATO or CIA manipulation and intervention. Just like the US likes to keep their backyard free of any intruders. But the warmongers within the US regime know that a peaceful coexistence is bad for the production of war materials, especially the military industrial complex as well as the globalists, cranking out wartime supplies like there is no tomorrow and if they keep it up there may not be one. So, they keep stirring the pot until it will boil over and it isn’t too far from doing just that.

You stated that very well.

Maybe it is a product of watching all the machinations the USA does to protect itself and the equivalent of the thieves that of course move in.

This is a personal judgement of all humanity.

This war is unjust and not worthy of any USA involvement.

It seems clear it is protecting something that is very corrupt.

Putin can’t even win a war in over a freaking year and a half, against civies, and civilian infrastructure, let alone against a bunch of hard core, hard ass, hard red winter wheat farmers. Zelensky, I never want to again read again about any closure of any Church of ANY KIND, OF ANY FAITH, OR ANY PRAYER in your supposed homeland. That kind of action is “totally beyond the pale of any acceptable level of human conduct.” We Human Beings have a God Given Right to Religious of Freedom. You sure as sh!t weren’t involved.

ALL his cronies, if there's any true justice.

Zelensky is holding an American in a Ukrainian prison

Aha!   A pre-planned, last-minute good-bye kiss from Zero & FJB in the form of ransom cash stuffed into suitcases awaits! Zelenskiyy, his wife, and and their entourage will need flash money after their flight into exile.

But if the US pulls out, you’ll still be rich.

So why worry?

“When the US pulls out of this misadventure, and we most certainly will, everybody pulls out.

And Z and his cronies will hang from lamp posts.”

And millions more Ukrainians will die in Russian slave labor camps. And Russia will attack Poland and the Baltic states for aiding Ukraine. And there will be “Peace in our time” like there was in Europe in 1938

Well gee, that’s too bad. The more I see of the behind the scenes behavior of the Ukrainian leadership (buying huge yachts with the “aid” we have sent, starring in bizarre music videos dressed in homo sadomasochistic gear, etc.), along with their very public attempts to not only bite the hand that is feeding them, but actually draft up kill lists of Americans and threaten us if we don’t keep paying up, the more I’m convinced we’re on the wrong side here. And I don’t even mean that we should be neutral. The more I see of how decadent and arrogant the Ukrainians are, the more I think Putin is right to do whatever is necessary to prevent Ukraine from becoming an arm of Europe and spreading Western European deviancy into Russia. No wonder Zelensky wants to become part of NATO; his cabal is perfectly in synch with Eurotrash “values.” For that matter, I think Western Europe has become more enemy to us than ally as well. Eastern Europe is a different story; they’ve lived through tyranny (yes, I know, at the hands of the Soviet Russians), and they are therefore clear-eyed about how cultural deterioration leads inevitably to communist tyranny.
