California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Monday offered his full support for Vice President Harris as President Biden’s running mate after some Democrats suggested Biden consider replacing her on the 2024 ticket.
CNN’s Dana Bash asked Newsom if Harris is the “best person to be on the ticket” with Biden, referencing an interview last week in which Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) did not explicitly say if she felt Harris was the best running mate for Biden.
“Of course she is,” Newsom said. “Biden-Harris administration, master class in terms of performance — bipartisan deals on infrastructure, bipartisan deals on guns and debt ceiling, on the CHIPS and Science Act.”

Agreed. And highly dyslexic, a condition that prevents him from quickly understanding highly sensitive information in time of crisis. This alone should prevent any sane person from thinking he should be our military’s commander in chief. But none of that matters: I suspect he’ll be the candidate in ‘24.

If Biden “wins” newsome knows it would be easy to beat her in the next presidential primary and if Biden loses newsome doesn’t want Dems to blame him for attacking the ticket
It’s early in the process. Newsom is just playing his cards wisely.
The fact that it’s early won’t stop me from making a fearless prediction. The 2024 D ticket will be some combination of Michelle and Newsom. Biden will retire for “health reasons”. Kamala might get a Supreme Court seat, if one opens up. Or she might return to the US Senate.
Or she might just return to Willie Brown’s house.
Nussilini is just waiting for the Biden train wreck.
The more they feel the need to fluff her up, the less convincing they sound

I believe the choice will be Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer - she will carry Michigan, Wisconsin and the mid-west (according to the Democrats) - she is a female and not a straight White male like Gavin Newsom.
