Donald Trump on Sunday said it was “my decision” to believe that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” — saying he didn’t respect the aides and lawyers who’d told him he’d lost.
The former president, 77, was asked by NBC’s Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press” why he opted to ignore his “most senior lawyers” and campaign staffers about the election results.
“Because I didn’t respect them,” Trump replied.
Welker later asked the Republican frontrunner in the presidential primary whether he was “calling the shots … ultimately?”
“As to whether or not I believed it was rigged? Oh, sure,” Trump answered. “It was my decision. But I listened to some people.”

Last month, Trump attorney John Lauro publicly emphasized that his client’s actions to thwart the election results were done under the advice of counsel.
“Everything that President Trump did was with the advice of lawyers and counsel,” Lauro told NBC. “That’s an absolute defense to a criminal case.”

Trump’s co-defendant Ken Chesbro quoted an article written by Lawrence Tribe as justification that false electors could be used.
I think he’s doing too many risky interviews
interesting to read these comments. It exposes who is, and is not, deepstate supporters.
The Bush cartel supporters never have liked Trump. And will support whatever flavor of the month is presented by main stream media.

When you’re explaining you’re just giving your opponents more words to use to attack you.

I haven’t seen the interview, but some of Trump’s lawyers thought it was stolen. I saw one who had also been indicted say the other day it was stolen.
The ones who thought it was legitimate had ulterior motives. They can’t be that stupid.
Trump represents an existential threat to the establishment/Swamp.
No other candidate does.
I will take the existential threat, because anything less is the end of the Republic.
Trump demonstrated *he* really believed there was fraud.
Just maybe he’s saying it’s on my shoulders I made the final call. He’s not blaming others for what he did or didn’t do he saying he made the call and maybe he should’ve listen to other people. But he didn’t and he is admitting that. There are 18 other people involved in this.

It's possible to believe, as I do, that Trump should not be charged and also should not win the presidency.
Except, based upon what has come out Pres, Trump was correct. The election was hijacked..
