Donald Trump on Sunday said it was “my decision” to believe that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” — saying he didn’t respect the aides and lawyers who’d told him he’d lost.
The former president, 77, was asked by NBC’s Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press” why he opted to ignore his “most senior lawyers” and campaign staffers about the election results.
“Because I didn’t respect them,” Trump replied.
Welker later asked the Republican frontrunner in the presidential primary whether he was “calling the shots … ultimately?”
“As to whether or not I believed it was rigged? Oh, sure,” Trump answered. “It was my decision. But I listened to some people.”

Last month, Trump attorney John Lauro publicly emphasized that his client’s actions to thwart the election results were done under the advice of counsel.
“Everything that President Trump did was with the advice of lawyers and counsel,” Lauro told NBC. “That’s an absolute defense to a criminal case.”

Curious, why do you require a “swearing in” if they ignore what you say under oath and just find public statements? Oh yea...Trump. There is nothing here at odds with the advice of counsel defense. They advise and it’s up to the client on how to proceed. Sheesh, you DeSantis bots are way out there now.
This is why we all want Trump. They think he’s going to be afraid to talk because he’s under incitement. Wrong again. They can twist his words all they want but he will not stay quiet. This man is filled with courage and will not back down. Needed now more than ever. He stubbornly asserts his rights. Would that ever man, woman and child would do this.

Uh huh...and where did the man touch you? I’m sure keeping Trump quiet is what they want and I’m sure they want him in prison. They may get his in prison but you’ll never keep a free man quiet. If they want you in jail or dead they’ll have their way. Jesus Christ said nothing and yet he was nailed to a tree. This man is bold and courageous. He knows they want him in prison and guess what. He knows what the out is. Surrender. He can tell them tomorrow that if they drop all charges he will remove himself from the campaign and will stay out-of politics for the rest of his life. He’d instantly be a “free” man. The country is lucky that a man such as Trump is still willing to stand up for the country.

And they sure do twist them into pretzels for sure- Yahoo news headline said basically ‘Trump admits to trying to overturn the election”- i didn’t hear him admit any such thing-

Maybe it was 70 million votes for Biden and 11 million anyone-but-Trump votes.
