Former President Trump is defending his record on COVID-19, saying he never got the “credit that I deserved” on how he managed the pandemic as president.
“I got a lot of good marks on economy. I got a lot of good marks on a lot of things. Rebuilding the military, getting rid of ISIS, the biggest tax cuts in history,” Trump said in an interview on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” airing Thursday. “I never got, I think, the credit that I deserved on COVID.”
With much of his political base skeptical of coronavirus vaccines, Trump, the front-runner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, has tried to tread carefully when touting the success of his Operation Warp Speed, which developed highly effective and safe vaccines in record time.

This guy.
In a sane world this statement alone would disqualify him on the basis that he is also mentally unfit for office.
Unable to admit he screwed the pooch, it’s guaranteed he would do it again
That is no from me, dog.
Please stop bragging about being fooled by the Dems on Covid Donald.
True. But he never will. Malignant narcissists never "own" any mistake they make. It is definitionally not in their nature.
This is unfortunate, but Trump remains inevitable.
I think the way he positions his response is the reason he doesn’t get credit. He doesn’t put it in context. The Rats were trying to use it as a pretext for all of their dreams of absolute power. He got ppe, ventilators and a vaccine as a response to what the Rats were doing. He was knocking down the barriers to normalcy that they were putting up. That’s how I saw it at the time and that’s how I see it now which is why not as negative at the response as others. I think Trump positions it as his overall strategy and if I thought that was the case id be more negative than I am.
I do think if it was anyone other than Trump as Pres. the lockdowns, maskings, deference to the CCP that caused this and more would have gone on much longer or even become permanent and would have been much harsher.
There is nothing in this video that makes me think he wouldn't do anything different if he had the chance.
Trump wants to keep losing?
Assume everything you said is true. Including this phrase.
“He needs to acknowledge the error..”
Has Trump done that? No. In fact he is still taking credit for this error.
Megyn Kelly also shut him down on his lies about DeSantis shutting down Florida.
And which candidate named Desantis would you like to try on for size?
Malignant narcissist? Did you look that up on the internet? He’s answering a political question first. It’s your opinion that he “made a mistake”. It’s not the opinion of everyone and it may not be his opinion, particularly because he is privy to all the facts, we arent.
In the primary that’s true. Not sure how it plays in the general.
Marcus Aurelius hired someone to tell him constantly “You’re just a man.” This is what Trump needs. He has many strengths but not having humility nor an ideology are by far his greatest weaknesses. That was how they took him down and why I can’t vote for him in the primary.
The cited NIH report is a partisan joke. It has no other purpose than to provide grist for the fake news mafia to chew on.
I still think that Operation Warp Speed was a worthwhile project, even though the vaccines were a BIG disappointment. How was Trump to know this? It’s also not his fault that the Biden regime both forced vaccinations and covered up their side effects.
Of all the things that sunk his candidacy in 2024, those idiotic briefings have to be in the top three
My biggest concern about Trump is that he doesn’t seem to learn and grow as a leader from past mistakes. Is it narcissism? I don’t know, but his (apparent) inability to learn, to admit serious mistakes, particularly with regard to the Deep State’s plandemic, their greatest psyop so far that we know of), makes me wary that he really is suited to the dismantling of the entrenched bureaucracy and to dislodge the government from the controlling influence of extremely powerful interests. He seemed to be able to make progress, but much of it was not lasting because so much was done through Executive Orders, less controllable by the Deep State minions. Apart from Divine intervention, things don’t look so good.
Wait, what? You're giving Trump credit for ventilators that killed 50-97% of Covid patients placed on one?
Are you kidding me?
This is just horrific.
If he’s not saying, “I’m sorry, I was duped”, and “We need to repeal the multiple pieces of legislation that enabled a president like me to effectively suspend the Constitution, and no one should vote for a candidate who doesn’t vow to repeal...”—then he too is a significant danger to the survival of the republic.
