He also deserves blame for the lockdowns, crushing the economy, the massive debt and wasteful payouts, knighting Fauci, and setting the precedent for the biggest government intrusion during peacetime.

All of that did happen during his tenure. But, you fail to recognize that, he was dealing with a 'crisis' unlike any before, and he depended on the 'experts' to guide him with lockdowns and closing the economy and having to come up with bills for Covid payments when people had to stay home and not work. Covid payouts and wasteful spending and government intrusion, were the order of the day or times. You are a 20/20 quarterback. It's easy to see where the problems and bad solutions are, after the fact.

It goes to Trump’s biggest problem, he ends up with bad people around him who are either self serving or giving bad advice. They totally undermined his first term.

Remember he was attacking states that tried to reopen.

All presidents deal with crises unlike those before. WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Watergate, 9-11 just to name a few were all novel crises confronted by presidents, and few presidents have screwed the pooch like Trump did on covid. In fact, a worldwide pandemic IS A crisis which a president confronted before in 1918, and should have been entirely foreseen and planned for. I’m sick of the lame excuses.

Trump wasn’t up for the job. He got steamrolled, repeatedly, by the Deep State and is still getting bent over by the Deep State at their will. Trump’s biggest flaw is that he DOES NOT Learn, because his ego is too big to allow it.
