Chicago faces a $538 million budget shortfall in 2024, with $200 million of it tied to the migrant crisis, influential alderpersons were told Tuesday.

Recently they were talking about a mansion tax in Chicago. Not sure how much money that would raise .
Are they tapped out with sales tax, property tax, various business taxes? Any other creative tax they can come up with?
A tax on tickets to Cubs and White Sox games? A tax on “L” transit fares? Car taxes? Increase speeding ticket fines?
Even without the illegal aliens they would have a serious problem.
It’s got to be tough to be a mayor of a major Democratic stronghold , and facing the real world problems of balancing the budget
