A new flag policy for the Temecula Valley Unified School District was passed, banning most flags, including Pride flags, from being displayed on school campuses.
Good on them.
Excellent! The pride flags should be used for wiping toilets and rears, useless otherwise.
Is the Gadsen flag considered ‘federal’?
A kid got in trouble recently for having that patch on his backpack.
Now we wait to see if they have backbone, and don’t back down.
One step at a time....but we have to start running...not this slow walking. You damn boards...get your act together and start thinking of your community...not those who disrupt it with their “off the wall” agenda.
The right move.
Next they need to remove political agendas from school. That position is not about banning “free speech”. It only bans speech that is attempting to replace education with political activism. That activism is fine outside the classroom and outside the school, which is where it belongs, in the wider culture, not the school.
Good. Governmental entities can property regulate time and manner of speech but not content. If you can fly a BLM flag then I have every right to fly a Confederate flag.
BOOM! splc/aclu/doj law suits in 3,....2,... First amendment and stuff. We’ve seen this movie repeatedly.
As it should be. Both are “religions” and there is a separation of church and state as the left always reminds us.
I work with a guy from Temecula. He makes me look like a wild eyed leftist. Maybe everyone there loves america the same.
This is good news. Thanks for posting.
There happens to be a slight GOP majority on the school board.
Seems reasonable to me.
Cinco de Mayo should be interesting...
Several school districts in Waukesha CO WI were taken over by conservatives in the past 2 cycles. This is exactly what was done in 2 of them...Works for most people except those who want to advocate
Hard to believe sanity still exists in parts of California
Good - let’s see about keeping those flags all the way up the flag poles now, instead of dropping them to half mast for every single negative thing that happens to anyone.
Maybe it’s just a Kansas governor problem...
works for me. allow one flag you have to allow them all. when i grew up we just had federal and state and said the pledge every day. seemed to work fine.
