UFC’s Sean Strickland has established himself as one of the most polarizing characters in the combat sports realm. His lack of filter on almost every other worldly issue has some laughing hysterically while downright disgusting others. Due to his brash approach, the 32-year-old has emerged as a fan favorite for a good chunk of the MMA community.
Strickland is set to face Abus Magomedov in the main event of this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night. He returns to the Octagon after defeating Nassourdine Imavov on days’ notice earlier this year. Ahead of the said bout, Sean pulled no punches in a pre-fight presser. The UFC middleweight contender has particularly strong feelings toward working women.
“We let women vote, no offense. Think about America prior to women voting. They tried to ban alcohol. I don’t even drink but I’m not trying to ban alcohol.”

NEW UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION
"As a collective man group, we need to elect somebody who is gonna put women back in the kitchen.” 🔥pic.twitter.com/xjB2kLgcfd— Sameera Khan (@SameeraKhan) September 10, 2023
Sometimes I think these guys just say these things to make our side look bad.
The man is just playing to his audience.
Nah, that’s just Sean. ZERO filter, like the article says - just how he rolls.
That may be, but he does have a point.
Perhaps.
There’s something to be said for barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.
“Do not listen to this if you want to go to heaven.”
You’re not corrupted by what goes into to you but by what comes out of you.
Sean Strickland for VP :D
It’s fear of looking bad which is why we are where we are.
Well, Sean...there’s this great post from a WOMAN making generous contribution on Anne Barnhardt’s website: ‘To make up for any twits who don’t understand that women voting destroyed this country’. (Notice the past tense of ‘destroy’...)
He hits people for a living. He also gets hit for a living. He’s entitled to his opinion but it’s not worth any more than Jane Fonda’s
Make your own damn sammich, Sean.
He’s not wrong.
You might like that idea, and I might like that idea, but om not sure how it would go over with the general voting population.
He’s has the right to state his opinion, just like everyone else-I think he is just playing the attention game. If he finds a woman who wants to live with someone with that low.opinion of women, then she has no reason to complain later. I do not like most women-my friends are all guys except for 1 woman-but I do think there are plenty of men who should not vote, and are useless as far as work goes, as well-both sexes have their share of loons and slackers...
Yes-and fetch his own beer, too...
Not to mention getting one of those Japanese blowup dolls.
And make your own nachos, Sean...
