The reward for information leading to the capture of escaped killer Danelo Cavalcante has increased to $20,000 as the search enters its eighth day.
Authorities describe the 34-year-old Cavalcante, of Royersford, Montgomery County, as “extremely dangerous.” He was convicted in August of murdering his girlfriend. He escaped a week ago from Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township by scaling a wall, climbing over razor wire and jumping from a roof. Pa. escapee

A surveillance video detailing Cavalcante’s escape was released Wednesday by Chester County Prison officials. The breakout wasn’t detected by guards for a full hour, authorities said.

Since then, authorities have reported at least six sightings of Cavalcante. Authorities announced Tuesday morning Cavalcante was spotted on a private trail camera along the property of the popular attraction, Longwood Gardens. Prior, a trooper also spotted Cavalcante but lost him during a chase through terrain.
Authorities continue to move and expand their search perimeter — now a vast area filled with forests and thick brush — while neighboring residents remain on edge. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office Thursday announced they now believe Cavalcante is in the perimeter of Routes 926 and 52, as well as Hillendale Road and Creek Road.
The public is being urged to familiarize themselves with Cavalcante’s photograph and know what he looks like. They need to notify authorities immediately if they see something disturbed, missing or suspicious on their property, as well as check home security cameras, authorities have said.
Authorities are describing Cavalcante as 5 feet tall and 120 pounds. He has curly black hair and a closely cropped beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing pants, a light-colored T-shirt and white sneakers.
Cavalcante has not changed his appearance in the most recent sighting. However, he has gained a backpack, a duffel, sling-like bag and a hooded sweatshirt since escaping the jail, Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens has said.
A jury convicted Cavalcante last month of killing Deborah Brandao, his ex-girlfriend, in front of her children in 2021. Cavalcante was sentenced to life in prison and was awaiting a transfer to state prison. Prosecutors have said that he killed Brandao to stop her from telling police about the charges against him in Brazil in connection with a 2017 slaying. He was captured in Virginia after Brandao’s murder, and authorities say they believe he was trying to return to Brazil. Danelo Cavalcante

Cavalcante originally came to the United States illegally, after fleeing Brazil to Puerto Rico following the 2017 killing for which he is wanted, authorities say.
Those with any information on Cavalcante’s whereabouts is asked to dial 911 immediately. Those with tips can additionally call the U.S. Marshals’ Tipline at 877-WANTED-2.

Chester County is one of the second tier Phillburbs best known for Longwood Gardens.
Be a shame if he broke into some Rat Politician’s house.
20 grand? They don’t want him that much then.
He’s unarmed...right? I hope folks in these neighborhoods hide their guns or carry...
$20,000 is a lot for this piece of cr**.
I figured he’d be toast after the pooches were sicced on him.
Everyone knows he’s on the run. It’s incredible that he’s eluded police this long.

You would have better luck with $100K Dead or Alive
As criminal as our government has gotten, I no longer root for them to win.
They advise avoiding contact with him then offer twenty grand to grab him up. Is that “dead or alive “?
Surprised liberals care. A murderer is just a late term abortionist. He a leftist hero!
Not in todays dollars...
Looks like the Feddies are BOLOing for some of our “strength”.
Funny cuz i was up that way meeting some friends and the state police closed rt 52 at Longwood gardens. and there were some state police at the bridge over the Brandywine river. I don’t think much of it other than the two staties are talkin on the bridge and it just looks dangerous for them to be stickin out in traffic at 50+ mph. I get to the realtors office in jennersville and she asks about how did i make out on the drive and were there any road closures. and i thot the few spots where they were working on the road was ok. well here everyone is all weirded out about this guy. so the cops become complacent about a double murderer in the county lock up that anyone can just walk away from. and the people living out there are scared. what the heck for same day a bunch of kids tore up a shopping center in upper darby.
He was last seen wearing pants.>>> He needs to quickly change into a dress. And he will be paraded about as a tranny at the next library drag reading. he will never be arrested because there is a sub culture of illegals’ that will just protect him not because he is a criminal but because he is illegal.. it’s a subculture he can walk around in and be protected by. The local churches will harbor the guy not knowing he’s already killed two people.

Some may recall my several mentions over the past few months of “I hate it when they use that cliche ‘he’s going to prison for a long time.’ Even if they allow the key evidence (rarely allowed) and the jury* convicts, they will be given a reduced sentence and even then may not serve all of it, or will escape as some do.”
I would so much rather be wrong.
Recent true crime show about a 1990s case. The serial killer was given a 20 year sentence. While in prison it was reduced to 10 years. Seven years later he was released and is now living under another name.
