How are we going to survive as a society when the people who inform us of the news do not know the difference between crack and crank? Crack is cocaine and is very rare in the drug world. It is a depressant mostly and pain reliever. Most people don’t use it because the effects are not as exciting as methamphetamine which is crank. Crank is practically ubiquitous. It is a stimulant. People smoke it by sublimating it with a flame and inhaling the vapors thereof. It has a rapid onset and a fairly long duration of action. Most of the toothless crazy homeless people use crank. Crank causes them not to be able to sleep and so they get massive sleep deprivation psychosis and permanent changes to their brain chemistry. It’s why there are so many homeless people.
Legalizing marijuana is not the cause of the crank epidemic. Crank has been destroying lives since the 70’s and 80’s and it gets worse because the effects are cumulative. Once a life is destroyed by crank it will stay destroyed for most people.

Not just changes to brain chemistry — that would generally be reversible. Changes to neuroanatomy and volume of grey matter.
