The government knows what is good for you, comrade.
There can be no more horrible death than being burned alive.
One thing that Covid taught us was that police will follow orders unquestioningly.
Has anyone reported on successful travel north of Lahaina toward Napili?
The Maui properties of billionaires had the brush cut back from power lines, the power turned off when the 70 mph winds started, and the water remaining on during the blaze, courtesy of the local government.
The Maui properties of peasants had brush growing all the up to the houses and power lines, the power remained on when the 70 mph winds started, and the water turned off during the blaze, courtesy of the local government.
The billionaires’ properties survived, the peasants’ didn’t.
Coincidence?
Now everyone knows why the 2nd amendment is really there. It is to defend from totalitarian government...at any level.
This moron cop should be tried for mass murder IMHO, orders or no orders. Also, if such an order was given, the person who gave the order should also be tried.
“That is why one should carry a truck gun.”
You’re in a truck, you have all you need to move forward and disobey the unlawful order.
No cop has any authority to detain you within an area where you are likely to die.
Holy shit people have lost their God given free will.
Eventually he who issued he orders will be found out, tried and executed.
This stuff ccan;t happen unless it was planned.
In one of the Real Estate guys videos, a video of a now jobless cleaning woman (Connie?) who respected the cops and tried to follow the orders to stay behind barricades, she voiced this same concern about the cops who were stationed at the barricades, but she didn't know their fate.
As for her, after having driven the length of the town to the north, she turned around from the blocked traffic and drove back to the Pualani neighborhood where she started. There she lucked upon an unmanned barricade that I guess led to an even more southerly back entrance to that neighborhood that was beyond any manned barricades. She followed a large truck that breached it to escape.
I'd suppose being at the front of the line, the cops who found their barricades untenable either waved through the cars that were still operable and not stuck behind abandoned cars, and then left themselves, or they could also have just closed up shop and left ahead of the other lucky survivors-to-be. One source said of first responder losses: "Nine police officers and 18 firefighters from Lahaina lost their homes, according to officials from both unions. Two firefighters and two retired firefighters were injured. Two fire trucks were destroyed." No mention of loss of life, so there probably wasn't any.
Reducing the population to create a natural reserve for the exclusive use of the elites.
Almost like it was planned that way. ;-)
I hope that some among the families that lost children in this commucrat sanctioned criminal fustercluck mete out a bunch of summary justice and get clean away with it.
That seems to be about where we’re at . . .

There needs to be a congressional investigation.
If the blocker was following orders and believing he was blocking not to prevent someone from doing something illegal, but just in the belief, contrary to theirs, that they'd die if they went forward but are safe if they stay, would in a free country he be within his rights to warn them that they were taking their lives into their own hands by going forward, he didn't advise it and believed his information was superior to theirs, but that he couldn't/wouldn't stop them if they insisted on going to their otherwise legal route?
This should first be a state level issue, so the HA legislature should have first crack at it. With lots of pressure from grassroots and local media. Granting the political landscape there that will likely fail with a fizzle. But that fizzle might start a change in the political landscape. Given a local fizzle the locals might want to try for federal hearings. Their road to that goes thru their senators and representatives. Still worth trying with as much local noise as they can generate, not because you expect results in DC, but because it might eventually break the local political stranglehold. Yes it will take work and motivation. But proportionately for the survivors of Lahaina this is MUCH worse than 911 was to NYC. And as the one time capital and cultural head of HA they have added muscle with their fellow Hawaiians. I’d be delighted should they make the right choices, but I’m not optimistic for them.
I wonder,
Just how many Cops were burned in their cars?
Hmmmm?
Murder in Paradise
The government wants us dead.
“Reduce the surplus population”.
