Democrats are “mobilizing” ahead of this fall’s Virginia state legislature elections, viewing the races as “the next major referendum on abortion rights,” Axios reported on Tuesday.
Virginia Democrats are reportedly encouraged by the recent failure of Issue 1 in Ohio, where voters rejected a ballot measure that would have made passing a radical abortion ballot initiative in November more difficult.
“[Issue 1’s failure] showed that abortion is absolutely a motivating factor for voters across the country,” House Democrat Caucus Leader Don Scott told the outlet. “Access to reproductive health care will be the number one motivating factor for the [Virginia] election.”

Gotta make their sacrifice to Moloch…
Pro aborts will win in PA. No republican will win statewide for years.
ok, here we go. Some people on Free Republic, are in favor of federal abortion restrictions. See if they show up on this thread.
Some people on Free Republic, are aghast that some states thought to be more conservative, are not passing severe abortion restrictions.
I know we hate Lindsay Graham, here on Free Republic, but this issue goes far beyond anything he says.
It seems to be, that even some conservative women, conservative on other issues, do not want severe abortion restrictions. And that is reflected in votes on the issue.
Can’t get more evil than “killing babies” = votes and winning
Also, people who would never vote Democrat, are tired of paying for welfare babies, and therefore, want no part of a total ban on abortion.
And Virginia has been trending Democrat for years.
Youngkin winnning as governor blunted that a bit.
But Virginia voters may well vote more liberal on abortion, if the issue is put before them, because Virginia has been trending more liberal, in spite of Youngkin’s election.
Dems are good at getting out the vote...The abortion ruling brought them out in droves.
Dobbs made women furious. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. They’ve been shouting it from the rooftops that this is exactly what would happen if RvW was repealed.
Yes. Speaking of evil, in Michigan the abortion activists including Gov. Gretchen Whitmer churned up women and young men votes by Proposal 3 which passed and is now in the Michigan Constitution. Hands off all abortionists, abortion seekers, and anything connected to them. At the start, Christian groups and Republicans hope the ballot placement wouldn’t happen-—but the valid signatures were found in record time and in excess of any block attempts. Dems went wild and won the ballot election by far.
This proposal was the main reason for enormous Dem turnout and fundraising success.
But the Constitution doesn't let the federal government outlaw murder. Thus, the pro-life cause has to be won at the state level.
Any Republican like Grahmnesty who pushes a federal abortion ban is just trying to stir the pot as a Dim cheerleader.

Abortion may be a phony issue but it works for them...
I'll lend credence to that argument if we get rid of vote fraud and they keep voting like that.
Well, there you go. Even some more socially conservative states, are voting for abortion to be legal, at least in some circumstances.
Strictly speaking, overturning Roe sent the issue back to the states, for the state to deal with through the state’s political process. This is what we are seeing. We may be disappointed, but we are seeing the issue being dealt with not by the courts, but by the people and/or, their elected representatives.
Abortion is murder. Everyone can see that, some are fine with it being legal, not ProLife people. People who call themselves ProLife but want to allow it for votes are ProChoice people.
democrats love to murder people. That is why I recommend everyone buy weapons and ammo.
End "welfare".
Entirely.
After the Supreme Court decision, we should have declared victory and publicly supported the Constitutional right of each state to make its own decision.
