A special agent with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is dead after being accidentally shot by another IRS agent during a training exercise Thursday at a federal gun range in Phoenix, officials confirmed.
A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirms that an incident occurred Thursday at their gun range, which multiple federal agencies were utilizing at the time through an interagency agreement. The spokesperson said no Federal Bureau of Prisons employees were injured in the incident.
Charlotte M. Dennis with the Phoenix Field Office of the IRS Criminal Investigation (CI) division replied to Arizona’s Family on Thursday afternoon, confirming it was aware of an “incident” involving one of its special agents. She said the agent was taken to HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center, where the agent died. “Our concern today is for the agent and their family,” she said in the written statement.

What did he know and who was he going to tell?
Maybe it wasn’t an accident. Maybe a warning shot? Never know with that bunch of idiots.
For some reason, my first thought was my late husband’s stories from military school about captains getting shot in the arse. I learned it’s best to lead from behind.
Sorry I didn’t get a post in before your comment.
The fed government (that’s people BTW) is evil. Every single agency has been caught repeatedly lying and controlling “We the people” by nefarious means.
Joe Biden was a crook, is a crook and will always be a crook. But really he is nothing. It’s the thousands behind him that we need to acknowledge.
They don’t care about you and would gladly see you dead if it puts one dollar in their pocket or their families and friends pockets.
Accept that and you will understand everything that is going on and has been going on for decades.
That's the strange thing about the whole concept of armed IRS agents.
They don't need guns to rob people. They can wipe you out with the click of a mouse.
He is right. Federal employees that sit at a desk all day should not be using a firearm as part of their work. They should use the local PD to make raids or do what ever they need to do. They do not have the decision making skills an experienced police officer learns. Basically they are forever rookies.
That’s the advanced course.
That’s some kind of Kermit the Frog “I’m a real boy!” moment there.
On the plus side, he isn’t trying to “transition.”
Sounds like that IRS Agent is about as good at his job as
Biden is at his.
Remember all the leftists fired and let go from the tech companies. They are repurposed here.
They are all called “Special Agents” of the US Treasury. Even Enrolled Agents get that title.
This person was CID, Criminal Investigation Division. I’ve known a few of them over the years and they were always level headed tough cookies.
Perhaps true. Even so we don't rise to the levels required in those categories to be IRS agents.
what were they training for again ?
Like the joke, it’s a good start.
I can’t say what I’m thinking, either.
What do you call one irs agent killing another irs agent?
A good start.
Why does any tax collector need a gun?
